The more I learn about Mike Lazzo and the other assholes running Adult Swim, the more they disgust me. Before deactivating my Twitter account last year, I lurked at the official page for Adult Swim. On their Twitter page, they had posted that "TV is the Internet for stupid people" or something similar. The fact that Adult Swim continuously loves disguising their insults as jokes and condescends to their own viewers yet constantly beg us to keep watching their shitty programming is sickening. They canceled The Boondocks, Metalocalypse, and removed the their nightly Anime block, before relaunching Toonami on their network for only certain fandoms. Right now, I'm watching Adult Swim for only 3 Action Anime titles on Toonami. Otherwise, I don't waste time turning on Adult Swim anymore. The network's programming is just as shitty as their attitudes. Adult Swim assumes everybody is oblivious to them being assholes, including Mike Lazzo but we're not.

Hopefully, you will have luck with your job as a Substance Abuse Counselor. Years ago, my Sociology professor encouraged me into becoming a Probation Officer. Meanwhile, my family discouraged me from doing it. They claimed it was a dangerous job, that didn't pay well. More than anything my mother protested against me doing it.

Congratulations and good luck with your job interview!

Earlier this morning, I woke up to the news. I was surprised to learn, that Charlotte Rae was originally from my hometown and that she was 92. I knew she was old but I didn't know she was older than my grandparents. The sad part is that Rae died from Bone Cancer. At least she lived a long life.

In case you're interested, I just posted 2 music reference videos for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable. I fail to see the difference between the 2 videos other than the fact, that the newest video is ~1 minute longer than the original but whatever.

Music References In JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
PurgatoryGirl replied to PurgatoryGirl's topic in Anime & Manga
You were probably waiting for music references regarding Diamond Is Unbreakable. There now appears to be 2 different videos, that were made. Diamond Is Unbreakable: Music Reference #1 And Music Reference # 2: Gotta love how the vlogger chose to use the most overplayed song by Ratt. "Round And Round." Ugh!- 15 replies

Like some have already said, it is best to go see your doctor. If you don't already have a primary care physician, try investing time in doing so. Going to a walk-in clinic is another option. Otherwise, your weight loss may be from stress and anxiety. Meanwhile, if you are trying to meet somebody, physically going out the house to meet rather than hiding behind a screen would help. Join a group or something and try socializing with other people. That's usually a better and safer way than meeting possible predators and serial killers online.

If we are talking Val Kilmer? A big maybe. Definitely not the others, that's for sure. Regardless, the thought of having sex with a man dressed as Batman would not turn me on.

No, not even if there was role play involved.

James O'Barr Explains About The Crow
PurgatoryGirl replied to PurgatoryGirl's topic in Arts, Literature & Music
I've only heard of Bradley Cooper. Years ago, they tried getting him to play Eric Draven. I think he either declined the role, or something else happened for it to not come to fruition. Regardless, I am glad they called it quits with the remake.- 15 replies

James O'Barr Explains About The Crow
PurgatoryGirl replied to PurgatoryGirl's topic in Arts, Literature & Music
Oh, God. The thought of that is absolutely frightening. For the remake, they once considered using Mark Wahlberg a.k.a. "Marky Mark" from Marky Mark And The Funky Bunch. He declined nearly 10 years ago. Don't get me wrong. I like watching Mark as an actor, but I can't see him playing Eric Draven. Even though he has versatility in playing different roles, I cannot see him for the role of Eric. If the remake were to be done right, it would probably be better to have someone like Johnny Depp or Mark Dacascos. It's not like Dascascos has never played Eric Draven before. He played it on the TV series 20 years ago.- 15 replies

James O'Barr Explains About The Crow
PurgatoryGirl replied to PurgatoryGirl's topic in Arts, Literature & Music
Speaking of The Crow remake, they are no longer doing it. I, as well as many other fans of the original are so happy. Like it has been said countless times over the last decade or so, The Crow was Brandon Lee's legacy. O'Barr even said that a remake is still not going to make the amount of money or have the same impact as the original.- 15 replies

Is it cheaper? I haven't checked my e-mail in an hour. Right Stuf keeps sending me messages about shows they have on sale. It's a good thing I don't have more money to spend, right now. Otherwise, I would be buying more.- 3 replies

James O'Barr Explains About The Crow
PurgatoryGirl replied to PurgatoryGirl's topic in Arts, Literature & Music
It wouldn't surprise me, if it is on the reissue of the film. I saw a few deleted scenes from The Crow on YouTube. On my VHS from the '90s, it only has a clip of Brandon Lee's interview with him explaining about The Crow, along with advertisements for the original soundtrack. I have both the movie and soundtrack on CD and VHS. Too bad I don't have a poster of Brandon. I'm not ashamed to admit it. I still love Brandon Lee. LOL!- 15 replies

James O'Barr Explains About The Crow
PurgatoryGirl replied to PurgatoryGirl's topic in Arts, Literature & Music
O'Barr really did have a rough life. The fact that his fiancee was killed by a drunk driver stood out the most to me. I can't help sympathizing as well as empathizing with struggling to find love again, after that heartbreak. Even though my first love was never killed, not being able to be with your first love anymore is like having an open wound in your heart, while having to overcome that heartache. I'm really glad that James O'Barr was able to find love again. The movie is a slightly different from his comic book. In the comic book, the couple's car breaks down on the street in Detroit and Eric's fiancee gets raped and killed. Soon after, he gets killed by the same thugs.- 15 replies
