  1. Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm not a fan of the commercial breaks either. When IFC used to air Speed Grapher, Witchblade, and Season 1 of Hell Girl, I watched it more. Nowadays, I only watch IFC when it happens to air a movie I haven't seen in years. Otherwise, it's very rare that I watch the network anymore. Like most cable and satellite networks today, they no longer have much of any integrity. As far as Beetlejuice goes, I noticed that the character was more antagonistic and perverted in the film, and that Lydia Deetz was more like a suicidal Goth Girl. In the cartoon, Beetlejuice was more toned down and Lydia was more like an optimistic Goth. I suppose ABC was trying to make the cartoon "child friendly."
  2. Brings back childhood memories and gives me the sudden urge to go looking for my talking Beetlejuice doll from 30 years ago. This doll would make for a really good stress reliever, right now. I kinda miss winding Beetlejuice's head around and making it spin like the girl's head from The Exorcist. Bwahahahahaha!!! Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice!😂
  3. Katie Holmes played in a movie, that had to deal with being coverted and brainwashed. That's mostly what I'm talking about. As far as Disturbing Behavior goes, it wouldn't surprise me if it had something to do with Scientology. Does that answer your question?
  4. The acting also could've been much better. By the acting being so cheesey and contrived, watching Alfred Hitchcock's movies and TV shows makes it hard to take them seriously.
  5. Who could blame you or anyone else for not taking Scientologists seriously? That group is like a creepy cult of their own. Years later, I am still amazed that Katie Holmes married Tom Cruise. After she acted in the movie, Disturbing Behavior (which could've been a good movie, if the dialogue wasn't terrible) 20 years ago, she should've ran like hell from Tom. If you never watched Disturbing Behavior, the movie deals with high school faculty, staff, and parents wanting to reform and convert "troubled teens" by microchipping their brains and brainwashing them with I believe were called "Enlightenment Seminars" or something like that. The moment they experienced sexual arousal, the microchips scrambled their brains and they became violent towards other people. Katie's character was almost raped. Had the dialogue not been so ridiculous, I believe Disturbing Behavior had the potential to be a better film than it was in '98. I'm surprised no Hollywood filmmaker tried remaking that movie. It could be "razor." LMAO!😂
  6. Ah, this is very true. SCREAM was somewhat similar in that aspect. The creators of SCREAM wanted Drew Barrymore to be the star of the movie. Then, she suggested that killing her character would leave a long-lasting impact on their audience because she is a major star, and it did. With that being said, I can actually see why killing the star of Psycho contributed to the film's controversy. The camera's pan zooms of the characters' faces mainly their eyes and eyebrows makes Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho really creepy. That's along with the film's score setting a creepy tone to it all. Otherwise, Psycho wouldn't have been as scary. At least not to me, anyway. Then again, I am desensitized to most Horror film's except Gremlins. Those creatures that were based off of Mogwai in Chinese Folklore still scare me 3 decades later. It's mostly because their eyes are so hideous. LOL!😂
  7. According to my grandmother, Psycho was controversial during the 1960's because the plot and characters were "immoral." Technically speaking, Psycho gave birth to the Slasher Horror sub-genre. In most Slashers, the serial killer is considered "The Moral Villain" because he usually serial kills immoral teenagers. Even though Psycho doesn't have the stereotypical tropes found in most Slashers from the 1980's and '90s, the film from the '60s does have the killer and "slashing" elements to it. Psycho is mostly considered to be a Thriller. However, it also has the ability to cross genres and sub-genres such as Murder Mystery, Suspense, Thriller, and Horror. This scene always makes me laugh so hard. Most may have been freaked out decades ago, but I always find this scene to be hilarious.
  8. Psycho was on Epix again an hour ago. When I originally posted this thread, I forgot to share Mike Mozart's vlog review about Madame Alexander's Psycho Doll. LMAO at "Master Bates!"
  9. Normally, I don't post in this sub-forum or this thread mostly because none of the topics or rants resonate with me. However, I feel the following video will resonate with some of the men and women from this community. Without a doubt, it most definitely resonates with yours truly. Even though Rob was still a teenager when making this video 3 years ago, he was wise beyond his years. Anyway, continue to carry on without me.
  10. Being on this site feels so desolate and I haven't fully decided, if I'm leaving or not. It's not fun here, when there is nothing or no one, that resonates with you.

  11. Being on this board honestly makes me question, if this is what Purgatory really feels like.
  12. Here on the board.
  13. This place is so desolate. Maybe I should go.
  14. Nobody remembers the blue ring from Phantom Blood? It had just as much significance as the phantom mask in Phantom Blood. It was Jonathan Joestar's dead mother's blue ring. Before his father (George) died, he gave Jonathan his dead mother's ring.
  15. From what I've noticed, it seems like most fans favor Part 3: Stardust Crusaders. I like the first 3 parts. However, I favor Stardust Crusaders like most JoJo's Bizarre Adventure fans. Out of all 4 parts, it has the most episodes. Now that Stardust Crusaders is over, it feels weird because some of us became used to watching, Joseph, Jotaro, Kakyoin, Polnareff, Avdol, and Iggy every Saturday night, since last year. While Diamond Is Unbreakable will be premiering this Saturday night, Part 5: Golden Wind is scheduled to premiere in Japan this October. Here's the burning question: Did The Joestars EVER retrieve that blue ring, that Dio stole from the Joestar Clan centuries ago?
  16. Just to let you know, the 1993 OVA's for Stardust Crusaders are slightly different from the Anime. Jotaro and Dio's fight scenes were longer than what we saw last week. I don't know why they cut the scenes for the Anime. In a way, I feel the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Anime episodes were rushed in general, especially for Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency.
  17. MUDA, MUDA, MUDA!
  18. You know what? I'm simply going to let this all slide because I honestly feel, that there was some misunderstanding of what I said. If memory serves me right, you and I both like at least some of the same shows currently airing on Saturdays. Once again, I watch Adult Swim for only 3 shows right now. Otherwise, I don't watch Adult Swim on the weeknights like I did in the past. Until the network starts airing other shows I might happen to like, I will try watching more Adult Swim again. Just to let you know, I barely post on this board anymore because my time is mostly preoccupied on and offline. That's not including the fact, that barely anyone exists here anymore. There's too much toxicity and divisiveness and my hobbies, interests, views, lifestyle, etc. simply do not resonate with those who still remain here. When somebody is not treating this site like it's their personal social media accounts with them constantly posting selfies for fap material or to be fetishized by thirsty creeps, there are wannabe Siskel & Ebert critics nit picking everything and everyone to death. I may be critical, but not to the extent as others are on here. The very few movies and shows I do actually like today, someone is nit picking them.
  19. I haven't sworn off Adult Swim completely. Like I said in a previous post, I only watch Adult Swim for 3 shows at the moment. Otherwise, I don't waste time watching them like I used to years ago. Also, thanks for putting me on block! You're not exactly someone I really care to respond to, much less see in any of the threads around this board. Consider it a win-win for the both us. Now, you have more time to play Pokemon Go. Pika-pika, squirtle-squirtle.
  20. HA! I'm sorry to break it you, but the fact that hardly any of Adult Swim's veteran viewers remain glued to our screens is very telling. Also, I don't sit around behind the screen for mindless hours calculating cartoon ratings on my fingers and toes or depending on the latest TV review to tell me what I shouldn't like because it doesn't fit their narrative at the time. The biggest problem that a nice portion of us other viewers, who can see the big picture is that Adult Swim expects for everybody to kiss their asses and promotes divisiveness. That's especially a major problem I have with Adult Swim and the viewers like you, personally. Even some of the other voice actors and Adult Swim's employees complained and quit. You think you're putting somebody in their place but you're not. And yes, I'll say it again. SICKENING!
  21. I can't believe it has been a year, since the time this Stardust Crusaders promo with Patrick Seitz was released for it's Toonami premiere. Watching this promo from Viz Media never gets old. MUDA, MUDA, MUDA!
  22. Speaking of Dio's voice actors, he's had quite a few over the last 2 decades. Damn!
  23. Awhile back, I saw clips of the 1993 OVA's for Stardust Crusaders. It was the only part of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure franchise, that was adapted into OVA's. The character illustrations and the voice actors were different. Dio's original voice actor pronounced Jotaro's name with more of a Japanese accent I guess you could say in the dub for it. He also shouted MUDA, MUDA, MUDA! I'm sure Dio's voice actors had fun yelling useless in their voice acting booths, especially Patrick Seitz.😂
  24. I swear, watching Star Platinum vs. The World makes me feel a little envious of those, who grew up during the 1970's. Even though the '70s was a decade before my time, I still want some Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots, damn it. FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!
