Where are you getting this from? They did weekly reviews of all 25 episodes, which I don't think they would've done if they were trying behind the scenes to get it cancelled. They may have opinions that differ from yours on shows but they don't have any sort of clout to do that, nor have I seen any evidence of them ever trying to.

It's just amazing to me that they found him. Usually these ads use these perky-ass Mouseketeer wannabes that are nothing like the soul-murdered folks I see working fast food. But this guy...he's just got that glassy, haunted look that says, "I'm never going to get a role in a sitcom no matter how many auditions I hit, and once this gig is over, it's hemorrhoid cream and LifeAlert ads for the rest of my life."

I don't know where they got this guy (he's probably a fine person irl) but 1) I don't think I want him making my food. He looks skeevy. I'm originally from Ohio. Of course I know how to play Euchre. Unfortunately, it's been so long since I've had anyone to play with, I've forgotten a couple of the rules and strategies. I played online yesterday (not sure if I was playing with actual people or not ) and I was really slow at it (but my team (?) won, so...). If I knew it was against imaginary opponents that'd be fine, but I felt really pressured to decide quickly, and my brain just isn't up to that these days.
