Fun idea- let's do a warring states era.
Gina Szanboti replied to SwimModSponges's topic in Free-For-All
And mountains to the east and west too! Plus we make all the war machines here. No way are the Mormons conquering us, except maybe by financial infiltration, out-breeding, and allying with the Scientologists. But once war broke out, they'd be shipped back to Utah, which they're welcome to (the Hubbardites we'd just push into the sea and let their Sea Org pick them up). New York, Ohio, Missouri, Illinois and Nebraska were all able to kick them out, so I don't think we'd have any trouble. I dunno, Texas keeps yammering on about being the Lone Star state, but California not only has one star, it says right on our flag it's a Republic. So every time some doofus pipes up with, "The US isn't a democracy, it's a republic!" I'm all, "so that means we can leave, right?" -

Why does grubhub give me a coupon with my order that is only good if I haven't used grubhub before? -
I absolutely loved KFC's chicken livers when they still sold them (alas, now gone the way of my beloved Arby-Q ). They were ok fresh, but if you microwaved them they'd get kinda chewy like real meat, instead of that dry, pasty texture they had after normal cooking. Beef liver tastes ok, but it has too many large veins running through it, and hitting one of those is a quick trip to the vomitorium.

Prego chick and I already had a fairly heated argument.

Wait, what? How's that supposed to work? One night stand, sure, but you're talking about a relationship. What's she gonna do if you don't want to deal with them, dump them all off on her parents? -
Whats something that smells better than it tastes?

Hair. Freshly cut hay (it doesn't taste that bad, just smells better). Wet soil. Citrus peels. -
Hey what was your first forum anyway?
Gina Szanboti replied to SwimModSponges's topic in Free-For-All
AOL's roleplaying forums. They had an Incoherent Babbling section before asmb did. People posted ongoing interactive stories for the characters they were rping in chat, posted funny bits of rp sessions, argued about shit like in Rants, etc. Despite all the grumbling, the Rainman architecture was still the best forum software I've encountered, as far as ease of use, editing, and organization go. I don't think you could post pics (I don't think we even had avatar icons), but that was mostly due to bandwidth issues. I miss that whole scene a lot. It was a pretty decent bubble to learn to internet in. -

Episode 13. 12/13 is a 2-parter about hemorrhagic shock. The transfused RBCs are a bit confused but happy to be working again. Their uniforms are very slightly different...and they speak with an accent. If you die from cancer, I don't think they'll take your organs because of the risk of undetected metastatic cancer cells (i.e., cells that snuck away from the original tumor and went to another part of the body). Corneas, tendons, heart valves and the like are exempt though, as they're not vascular - which is also why they're are rarely rejected when transplanted. Don't quote me on this, but I think you need to take immuno-suppressant drugs forever. Also sometimes transplants attack the new host's tissues in a kind of reverse rejection. The problem is there are proteins on the surface of cells that basically tell the macrophages "Don't eat me." So when that protein on the incoming tissues' cells doesn't match the recipient's, they become fair game for the immune system to attack. The only way I can see that changing is over years as the older cells of the transplant die off and get replaced by new ones, which I assume would have the right coding. But I don't know if that's what actually happens or not.

I just wish they hadn't done it vertically, but I can kinda see why that might help them sell it better. Dang, Shauna Duggings doing that backflip into the pool at 2:30 made me cringe with how close she was to that walkway. I was sold at Lucy Lawless in her Wonkette tee.

Not in the first season. Dunno about later. We don't know whose body they're in. If you watch this, one neat detail to notice is the change in the colors of the Red Blood Cells' uniforms depending on if they're delivering O2 or returning CO2. That's Cells at Work! Code Black. That is not the second season, which is Cells at Work!! (2 !). Weirdly, both are scheduled for January, but we'll see.

You going full Amish now? Or shooting for ZZ-Top?

The second one. It's cute (platelets!!!), but fun. Watch it. You might learn something. The cancer episode was pretty good, as was the dehydration one. It get surprisingly gruesome at times.

Hey, that's the Neo Armstrong Cyclone Jet Armstrong Cannon! It's really perfect! Except for missing the wings and slide...

I was thinking it was supposed to be his head resting on his hand, but it's way too big to be his hand, so now I'm guessing a phone? It might also be more accurate if it was a stack of cheese slices (with a Cheeto nose) topped with baloney covered in thin strips of lemon peel.

http://www.wehuntedthemammoth.com/2020/04/29/if-you-arent-celibate-youre-a-simp-declares-celibate-redditor/#more-104156 As one commenter wrote, "I just can’t take the word “simp” seriously because of it’s use in the Judge Dredd comic. Simps were a sub culture of Mega City One who rebelled against the mores of the place by dressing as colourful clowns." -

I find this fascinating because they've only rolled up 3 pieces of meat and cut a nose flap, but still everyone instantly knows who this stack of baloney is.
