West Virginia's option is a phone number and an office. I guess I'll drive down tomorrow to speak with someone in person.

I don't know. Never had to file for unemployment in my life. I was a substance abuse counselor, but now I'm just jobless. The writing was not on the wall, at least from what I could tell.
-
We were let go today, so I'm in a rat race to scramble for a new job.
-
Same-ish. I guess I just really don't know what to say during a job search aside from "I got laid off for reasons." We weren't even given a clear reason as to why we were cut.
-
I'm not sure what movie this would be, but ZeniGundam is in it, so it's probably a budget horror flick of some kind.
-
Or "let go." Several employees were released, and I happened to be one of them. Never had this happen to me before. The job was great. Didn't have any complaints. It kept me busy, but I've no fucking idea what to do now. Never filed for unemployment, so I guess I'd better start researching tomorrow. Has anybody else been in a similar situation? I've had this job for nearly a full year, and *POOF,* it's gone.

> 86% Audience Score I also disagree with RT's critic ratings. Fun movie. If you go for actual character development, then you are going to be sorely disappointed. It's a CGI feast for the eyes.

2009. Case of diarrhea. Won't go into further details.

It hasn't been unbearable in regards to heat, but it won't stop raining. ....Just like every West Virginia Summer for the last five years. In your case, just remember to stay hydrated when you can't stay cool.

I'd feel very sad for someone who forgot Darkwing Duck existed. I'd have to say that this one brought back some unexpected memories when I read up on it years ago. It had such a short life as a revival for the character.

I wasn't scene at all. I was the nerd who played D&D with a small group on Friday evenings. But I did buy band shirts from Hot Topic. Does that count?

Depends on the apartment. A lot of landlords I've dealt with certainly gave little thought to checking people's credit scores when I consider the neighbors I've had to deal with over the years. Also, my previous post was a bit of an exaggeration, but I really, REALLY do not want to commit to anything--not even a relationship. A mortgage is a life sentence unless I put the house on the market. In this area, that would never fly, because the population is always declining and never growing.

So, Bucks pulled off the "Gentleman's Sweep." I can't deny that I'm very happy with this. I want them to win it all. I've waited 18 years for them to get their shit together, and it looks like they finally have.
-
Buying a house sounds like a nightmare. I see myself living in apartments for the rest of my life. I don't like the idea of committing to one location for most of my life. That shit scares me.

Dude, recovering alcoholics are the vegans of addicts.
Gyaos replied to Skiles's topic in Free-For-All
I actually know people who do this shit. I think recovering alcoholics say it more than past drug users because alcohol is actually legal and more socially acceptable to an extent. Compare a previous alcoholic to someone who once stuck needles into themselves. It's all the same, certainly. But most people wouldn't recognize that... -
Am I the only one who remembers The Pirates of Dark Water?
Gyaos replied to Zenigundam's topic in Free-For-All
I remember the intro. I don't remember anything about the show itself, though. -
I keep watching things about dead, abandoned and dying malls...
Gyaos replied to Rogue_Alphonse's topic in Free-For-All
If you're still in the mood for it, check out the Dead Mall Series from This is Dan Bell on YouTube. He traveled all across the country to get footage of abandoned malls. He's also been to abandoned K-Mart stores and other shit, which I find fascinating. -
Nope. None.

The people I am referring to live in rural areas that don't have access to broadband or high speed internet. Dial up is the only service they can use. Crazy that this can still be a thing in 2019, huh?
-
I know people who still use it. But yes, dial up internet is dying as a whole.
-
I thought this thread was going to be about dial-up.

I like my Switch. I just don't like their online service. It mainly sells indie stuff that I can easily play on my Steam account. Yeah, it's $20.00 a year, but when I play Smash Bros., I DON'T want my matches to crash because it can't handle stage hazards with 3+ players at once. But yeah, the console does have value and has more third party support than the Wii and Wii U did. That's really what I wanted.

INB4 I regret paying $60 plus for a pokemon game.
Gyaos replied to PhilosipherStoned's topic in Games
I wouldn't pay $10.00 for a Pokemon game. I only really like the spinoffs now. Every other game is the same shit with new wrapping paper. -
I got $100.00 less than what I got back last year. I can't really say I'm hurting because of that. It's still $1,800.
