  1. Other than the white-haired witch trope, the only thing I liked about The Forbidden Kingdom was this scene: This would have been so much better if bigwigs hadn't decided that Americans no longer wanted to watch martial arts movies featuring Asians unless there was some white dude with zero fighting skills as the lead. That trend was why I got more into foreign films though.
  2. The Young Master. The choreography of the fights is fucking amazing, and I use the film as reference to get the rhythm of a fight down plus adding humor when needed. It's also just fucking hilarious.
  3. I still haven't gotten used to allergies. They started last year, and it's just so fucking annoying how much I sneeze when the pollen count is up. It would be nice if my genetics didn't give me more crappy things.
  4. Happy Birthday Mr. Sexy!
  5. Fuck that! Why folks tryin' to put nasty walnuts in everything?
  6. Dammit, I wanted to post this movie!
  7. I was glad to even have that ending because I'm too used to American animated shows not giving any sort of closure. It's part of the reason why I got into anime.
  8. This. Loved Rebecca De Mornay's portrayal as Milady too. I probably loved him in Batman Forever because I really liked Robin back then and Chris O'Donnell made him cute.
  9. Yes, and she has been part of multiple oscar nominated movies. She's in the new Star Trek show too.
  10. Overwhelming as fuck. The house is falling apart and while the insurance is covering the damage, there's still a shit load of stuff to move before repairs start. At the same time, I have to prep multiple books to submit during the first half of this year to make up for the health shit that nuked my progress from 2017 to the end of 2018.
  11. I'm still kinda mad at him for giving me too high expectations of the Harry Potter movies after he did Prisoner of Azkaban. At least that movie let me know who he was, so I saw Children of Men in theaters and that was a fucking experience. Folks in my twitter timeline are piiiissssssed about Green Book getting awards. Evidently there's a more accurate documentary coming on the Smithsonian Channel tomorrow at 8 p.m. On Direct tv it's channel 570, so I'll give it a look.
  12. She has like this perfectly shaped head that pulls off the bald look in the most boss way possible. Nike is killing it with that commercial.
  13. Since no one else seems to be posting, I'll add some comments: Regina King, Michelle Yeoh, and Danai Gurira are gorgeous. Hannah Beachler's acceptance speech made me tear up. Angela Basset and Javier Bardem presenting together was just too much sexy. Bao looks so adorable! Is there a sound problem?
  14. Not having a host is making it very watchable for me this year.
  15. It depends. There are plenty of horror legends to parody that can keep the show fresh. They just gotta not get stuck in the same jokes and find inspiration from a wide variety of sources.
  16. 7Seeds which I haven't read, but gives me hope that maybe someone will take another crack at Basara.
  17. I am definitely going to watch this.
  18. So you're writing a sidechick manifesto or something? If you put together a bunch of crazy ass essays like this in a book, you might manage a bunch of hatebuys.
  19. Thanks, I'll remember that when I really start working on it. Spiders are very fascinating, but they seem too complicated for my simple self to keep alive. Molt husks that look like their dead bodies and going without food for months but still alive? Whew, dogs are way easier for me to handle. I hope your spider gets better.
  20. *Adds notes to spider shifter story*
