  1. I know it's not exactly the same thing, I was just making the point that when you put something on TV that people are excited about then you will get the viewers. Rick and Morty is like Jack though in the aspect that not a lot of people hung around for the shows after it. Jojo despite being heavily requested and being at "the part" that people like does not get the viewers excited to bring them in. Super has its split viewer problem but at this point I think a premiere would only bring modest gains to the rest of the block as DB fans go away as soon as their show is over if they aren't into what's next. I'm sure they'll give it the month of August, but I don't think Jojo is going to cut it there for a whole year. I'd love to be wrong about that. Gundam coming back in October isn't really going to help much either. They really need to rethink their approach about what to pick up moving foward. Requests are not going to always yield good results.
  2. People ditching cable doesn't stop Rick and Morty from getting almost 3 million viewers. People just aren't excited about Toonami anymore. Or they aren't generating enough hype themselves
  3. At this point, I just hope they finish the shows they have.
  4. Maybe, but all the crazy action happens on Saturday night! I wish they could've given 11:30 Super premieres more of a chance. I seriously hate TOEI
  5. Totally called it. Our highly requested show Jojo, the one everyone has been waiting for: 638,000 total viewers 0.28 18-49 .At midnight. What a joke. The night started out low again with Kai at 11:30 doing something in the 700s at 11:30. It goes all the way down to Lupin getting 475,000 at 1:30 AM. Meanwhile on Sunday. Rick and Morty gets 2.8 million viewers. What is happening guys?
  6. I should ask the guy from that site if he knows what the deal is
  7. One thing to note. On my cable guide, it listed JJBA as having an OAD of sometime in '14 (when the test dub came out). There's a chance it won't show up in SBD's cable original report tommorow. HxH uses the Japanese dates so it's the same way. I'm predicting something in the range of 600k total for Jojo
  8. They have enough things to maintain a back end at this point. Jack could be a permanent slot at the end if they run it from the start.
  9. Could be. This is probably the thing they couldn't talk about at Comicon whatever it is. I'd welcome it.
  10. http://adultswim.x10.mx The schedule (11:00-4:00) is missing. There could be something interesting happening here. This is the week after GiTS ends its first season. Also of not is that Jack is missing despite it being part of regular AS.
  11. It's not really Demarcos fault that he picks up what the fans ask for.
  12. I think they better route would've been to let Super fail on a kids network just in time for Kai to end. Then Toonami could have had it with no restrictions. I still wish they could use Super to build something in prime time .
  13. That schedule shift did create some interesting possibilities. Considering the trouble Funimation had with getting Outlaw Star, they may be making them hold off a bit to protect sales of the Blu-Ray. Hell, we may even be getting something else at 3:30 once Jack ends.
  14. Get used to these ratings as long as the let Super premiere in prime time and lead the block off with a repeat. Thanks a bunch TOEI
  15. I despise TOEI. There goes any chance of the block having better ratings. Family Guy always does worse in the 10pm hour. Why can't TOEI just let Toonami premiere it at 11!!??
  16. With the news that Toonami is shifting back to 11 this week, we'll be in for a period of adjustment again.
  17. The guides were all wrong. Not many people knew the new episode was at 11:30. They assumed it was a rerun. Plus people's DVRs recorded the wrong episode as well.
  18. Do you suppose Toonami can do anything to break out of this cycle or is it just a sign of the times?
  19. Yeah that makes sense because it's a double "premiere " if you didn't catch it in April. The next week will be interesting because they'll only have one season 3 episode to encore . So we may be down a Rick the next week!
  20. It's not going to help right away for sure. Only a few 8:00 viewers will catch on at first and make the switch right away. I believe the next thing to change will be one of the rick and Morty's. After encoding the double premiere, they should just stick to encoring Sunday's new episode instead of rerunning more episodes from seasons 1/2. After this run hopefully they'll rest Jack. It's also possible that we lose 8:00 in September/October. Lastly, they should replace Venture Brothes or put it earlier since it's hurting Family Guy, which hurts Toonami.
  21. Plus as long as the show airs at 8 for kids to see, does it matter if it's a premiere? Now we'll know whether or not it was the two airings or do people just not like this show! All they have to do now is put American Dad in place of one of the Ricks and Venture and we're all set!
  22. I'm curious if there were people who only watched at 8 that won't find the 11:30, assume there's just a rerun this week, and then come back to 8 the following week for their "new episode".
  23. Just because it can change at anytime, but it is the most current schedule. Looks like they are tweaking the Saturday schedule bit by it until things are at an acceptable level. Wonder what took so long ?
  24. http://adultswim.x10.mx Hopefully this is accurate and true!
  25. I am not expecting Jojo to do any better than Titan. Remember, we were all hoping Titan would get us out of the rut with retention caused by the first season of Jojo! It doesn't help that AS is going to wait until the last minute to promote it despite the fact that the promo has been in the can since the beginning of the month. EDIT: Jason Demarco says the promo has been running this week. Has anyone seen it on air?
