  1. With Paramount in charge, this will be the next Toonami original
  2. The days of Toonami holding exclusive rights to a non original show for years are long gone. I can’t tell you how many angry people I saw complaining about the Demon Slayer dub. I think ultimately it made companies unwilling to even give them premieres because they insisted on holding shows hostage for so long This is a best case scenario for them in this era. Hope to see more of it
  3. Really wish they’d just get the Sailor Stars season to just finally finish the show, but it’s nice to see them run the show again!
  4. Well he’s going to be against anyone other than his Elison buddies getting it,
  5. Honestly, just have the thing on repeat for the night. Why limit it to those 2 hours
  6. I got all my Bleach still on my YoutubeTV DVR, but it’s a real messy situation. Season 2 in particular has some episodes under its own separate series , others as part of season 2 of the main series, and yet others as “extras” (episodes with no data attached to them that it doesn’t know where they go)
  7. I agree they won’t air DDD in the 1:00 hour. We’ll see if they shift shows again or they decide to hold off until Bleach ends
  8. I love the guys work and found him really friendly during the AMA he did, but he does seem to complain a lot when he should just be happy his stuff is getting made and being well received
  9. I really don’t see why they need Primal on the block. It’s fine just not being there if the only choice is it being an almost week old rerun
  10. Yeah, I pretty much laugh at CNN’s attempts to pander towards an audience who will never watch them. Anyone who is right wing immediately says “fake news” when hearing those three letters despite those efforts. Regardless, having the same big corporations running multiple news outlets just doesn’t sit right with me and I think it’s going to make people lose trust even more than they do now
  11. Honestly, the block doesn’t need a Primal encore with how stacked they are. Usually the show is used as a quasi lead when they have nothing else. They’ll probably do it anyway, but there really is no benefit to the block airing this in the front other than a “Hey it aired on the block” badge. A week old rerun won’t perform the same as a 2 day old one.
  12. They need to have a solid lineup secured going into January. History has shown if they don’t, it’s weeks sometimes months of nothing. I don’t know why that is, but it’s happened so many times. Nothing gets done in December and negotiations take several weeks if not longer if they don’t start until early January. But if they run out of money, there’s no other alternative Thats why it’s best to have shows that don’t all end in December. You need things to carry you through at least February
  13. You can count on any show that’s not a straight up comedy to appear on the block as a rerun at midnight if they have no more headliner or original I was starting to worry that if things got even more off the rails this year- midnight was going to be Oh God Yes and Woman with Shoulder Pads
  14. They won’t need a budget refresh for it. Toonami will likely do a same week encore. Maybe it’ll premiere there, but I’m not counting on that. Either way, it’ll absolutely be the headliner
  15. The real one is if they air that and MASHLE side by side
  16. Im curious why they created a slot by taking off Sailor Moon We’ll see
  17. So I guess it’s the usual stalling and checking the Facebook next Friday
  18. It won’t be Rooster Fighter, that won’t be until next April Anything else at this con that might be interesting. Aniplex panel perhaps?
  19. We can only assume they are stalling for something now. They wouldn’t waste a Dragonball for nothing Also RIP Sailor Moon
  20. A little worried here because unless they expand or decide NOT to rerun Lazarus, where would they fit a new show?
  21. This is such a far cry from the days of Adult Swim announcing most of their anime pickups at the upfronts- even ones airing much later that year Going way back- Toonami announcing Gundam Wing and Tenchi Muyo in the fall of 99 when the later didn’t air until the following summer!
  22. We heard it right from Demarco, they just sit around and ask for Bleach over and over again till they get it. If they aren’t getting those shows, they just don’t bother. Seems about right the drought was them probably being told Daima and possibly Bleach or MHA were a maybe and they just left blank spots on the schedule and had no back up plan What gets me about what he said was that if there’s an opportunity to grab a show, it has to line up with an opening occurring right at that moment. We have so many droughts during the year, why not grab a show and hold it for when a future slot? Are they really turning shows down just because the block is full? They are going to have to spend to fill a spot at some point anyway- why not take care of it early?
  23. The SENTAI thing is really curious because they seem to be the company most willing to help the block. He even said that they give them a good deal on the dubbing. Is just nothing of interest to them? I think the stall schedules are a result of them assuming certain things would work out and they didn’t. I am curious if the budget is timed to reset differently now
  24. Honestly it would be nice to get an interview with Kim or Gil, but I think they’d be even more of a closed book
