  1. We also have Rick and Morty reruns leading into Family Guy where we used to have Bobs and Dad Toonami starts an hour earlier which , coming from a weaker Family Guy start the night low These shows no matter what they are don’t stand a chance at doing better numbers. At the same time, I think they over estimated Gundams hype
  2. As long as this setup exists with the Super premieres in primetime, along with the weaker comedy lead in, this is about what I've come to expect out of the block. Nothing really surprising here. Maybe we should start celebrating how many shows to over 500k like we used to do for a million.
  3. Weird thing on my end, ever since Irma (where we never lost power) my neighborhood is getting these random quick power outages. Last week, several of my Toonami recordings were screwed up because everytime the power goes out it takes my box like 10 minutes to reset. So when I went back and watched the recordings, the shows would randomly skip 10 minutes ahead without warning. Like in Aot, they were in Conny's village and then all of a sudden, they were doing Ymir's flashback.
  4. So far the schedule just shows a new Super at 8:30. They may air Super regardless in order to try and boost whatever marathon they do
  5. And sure enough Family Guy pulled in only 1.1 million viewers. Saturday is just weak overall and Toonami is paying the price. Ratings are an issue, but I’m more concerned about Demarcos Ask.fm statement that acquiring shows for the block is getting harder and harder. That’s what’s going to do Toonami in, a lack of content
  6. It’s all relative to how Family Guy does (which doesn’t rise high due to a weaker prime time ). We’ll see when PI comes out later tonight.
  7. We can only dream. I just wish they would pick it up and move everything else down. Does it matter if Bebop and GiTS are at 3:30 and 4:00?
  8. That's what irritates me about the current state of the block. We are missing out on new things. We already missed the boat on MHA and will probably also do so for Black Clover because the block has no room until January unless they expand again. Meanwhile Funimation won't wait and they'll put it up on their service which means even if Toonami gets it it won't be a dub premiere
  9. It'll probably just have a normal drop from Jojo. It could gain on it a little considering they've actually gone and promotd it more than a week out this time!
  10. Not too bad this week As for Lupin, I don't think they were expecting it to be great due to its original 2:00 AM timeslot. The staff just really loves the show just like they love Gundam. They may have gotten a really good deal on it as well just so it can get some TV exposure before its Disc release next year. I wouldn't count out Part 5 either! The block is having a hard time securing the rights to a lot of shows due to streaming competituion and Lupin may be one of the things that they can still get without too much of a problem! Shippuden probably did a little better than Lupin, which will make it the 25th time it has beaten the show before it (I know this because a buddy of mine on Reddit likes to keep track of this and celebrate it every week in their ratings thread! > )
  11. Yeah it's basically flashbacks to that time with framing sequences set during current events. If IBO takes off more than expected maybe we'll get them but probably not.
  12. Schedule is updated. Nothing changes. They will keep going with Naruto if anyone was concerned about that. For the next 20 episodes, we will be getting flashback filler episodes!
  13. It could always be money related or the need to cycle shows. It's been doing pretty good lately though but if they aren't ever going to get to the end or they want to put on Boruto next year, I can see them making the choice to end it with Pain since it's a good stopping point.
  14. I don't see why this always s happens. It never happens on the comedy side
  15. http://adultswim.x10.mx 10/7 schedule blanked out. We all new Gundam was coming, so they shouldn't hide it due to that. Could something else be going on?
  16. I agree with you 100%. I was just thinking it was a contributing factor. The lineup itself isn't bringing the viewers as well.
  17. AS as a whole is losing viewers outside of Rick and Morty. They've used Family Guy as a crutch for years and even that isn't a sure thing anymore . That also sort of limits what Toonami can do.
  18. Plus they only got 2 more weeks if it! But I think he meant that the money made on RM will help fund their anime hobby a little longer
  19. The problem is that the biggest drop of the night is from DBZ to whatever is next. When DBZ only gets 700k, it's gonna be low no matter what. They do need to examine if another show can do better though and make the best choice for the overall night.
  20. In regards to Lupin, I just came out of Castle of Carliostro and it had a tag at the end to catch it on Toonami in English ! And a room full of Lupin fans had no idea it was airing
  21. Where'd you get the Family Guy rating from?
  22. They may very well be pondering whether to put IBO at midnight. I myself am just not feeling this Jojo (in fact its the only thing still sitting on my DVR unwatched from last week), I wonder if more of the casual audience feels the same. I enjoyed the first season well enough, I don't know why I can't get into this one . I wonder what AS will do if the 8:30 Super continues to uptick and starts getting close or beating the 11:00 PM airing? I really wish they could just use it to anchor some kind of mini Toonami block along with something else suitable and use the rerun farther down the later block. Oh course we will wait and see what Family Guy did at 10:30 to get the full picture.
  23. They need to keep it at a consistent time for at least 6 months to a year to regrow that audience. The start time has changed 4 times this year already
  24. I'm sure that if they see it as a problem and they have something that will do better, they'll make the move. The question is, if not Jojo, what should air after DBZ? Is there anything in he current lineup, or would they need a new show? I hope its not one of the situations where they have a timeslot commitment and they CAN'T move it.
  25. I wouldn't sweat it. It's not like it's going to be a trend . The network will judge it in context.
