The new character was so much fun to watch and shorter episodes worked well for this show. Took a little while for me to get used to the shorter episodes though. I'm surprised we've gone for watching more obscure stuff this year instead of simulcasts, and mostly spooky stuff so far. At least Zombieland Saga fits both categories very well. It's also nice to see a show you've never even heard of before and is also old as shit (2006). Sadly, the first episode of this was about five minutes of ghost stories that weren't particularly thrilling, and then the show spent the rest of its time vomiting out exposition by introducing characters and key plot points. But in an interesting twist of fate, I LOL'd at a character called John Brown being introduced, as he's the most stereotypical blond-haired and blue-eyed American stereotype I've seen in an anime. And this was while watching the episode on the anniversary of the Harper's Ferry raid! The irony was beautiful. I'll watch at least one more episode of this to see if it does something cool.
