I have a bad feeling about this, like September 2, 1939, or September 10, 2001. It really is bad, and we need to discuss their reasoning, not just Trump's approval ratings. not just Trump's approval ratings. @InsipidI i am also drunk Edited May 9 by ghostrek Quote

It still works with the diehard MAGA, I'm sure. 1 Quote

SwimOdin Posted May 9 Posted May 9 It's because Trump is legitimately fucking stupid so he thinks that if the government suddenly starting saying things about aliens, it would distract from how poorly run the federal government has been under his administration, and that he is failing, hard. So, aliens. 1 Quote

It still works with the diehard MAGA, I'm sure. It's a bit strange, but I find that when I'm really tired, I become a better driver. As for UFOs, I have encountered some unexplained phenomena—things I can't easily explain. I'm not a true believer like Fox Mulder from The X-Files, but I do know people I trust who have seen things they can't explain. I’m not completely skeptical, but I also don't take everything at face value. With the Tic Tac incident and other similar footage, there have been numerous reports of such phenomena, including accounts from military pilots. It's important to note that military pilots are trained observers, and I’ve heard reports dating back to the 1950s from those in the field. @Insipid Quote

So, aliens. A charismatic (theologically) televangelist recently claimed that he was briefed about aliens. It’s strange to see his audience increasingly embrace both Conservative Christianity and UFO beliefs. What’s next? A reboot of The X-Files on a Conservative Christian channel? If that happens, I’m definitely buying a lottery ticket the next day—Mega Millions, Powerball, and any other ones available! If I am Right about that, I'm so buying a lotto tickets the next day, I mean Mega Millions and Powerball. I mean, the X-Files getting rebooted on a Christian Channel, if I'm right about that, I'm so buying a lot of lottery tickets Quote

It’s important to recognize that not all Christians buy into televangelism, and there are various types of televangelists. There are faith healers, doomsday predictors, prosperity gospel proponents, and mainline denominational preachers who simply share the message. There are even Catholic and Orthodox televangelists. I’m not criticizing televangelism or Christianity as a whole; I believe in the value of freedom of religion in America. While I know some of you may have differing views, I firmly stand by the relationships I hold with those who are genuine, deep believers.d respect that or deep believers Quote

This narrative is prevalent in many UFO documentaries; however, in reality, day-to-day life is unlikely to change significantly. For those with a religious background, such as myself, having been raised in evangelicalism, it might be seen as a sign of the end times. Yet, many evangelical and fundamentalist groups tend to view every moment as indicative of the end times anyway. In contrast, most mainline denominations, as well as the Catholic and Orthodox Churches, have made statements regarding the possibility of extraterrestrial life. While I am not familiar with the Orthodox Church's stance, I do know that the Catholic Church is open to the idea of the existence of aliens. Quote
