Also the fucking little plastic wingnut that holds the fill valve in place from the bottom WILL NOT COME OFF. I haven't replaced this shit since I bought the house.. several things were new anyway, but It felt like there was sealant around the supply line fitting. Unless my toilet keeps overflowing in the back I think I finally fixed it... With the old fill valve in the float would come up and the water filling noise would sop but it still ended up over filling and running my water bill up if I didn't close the supply valve after it filled up every flush.. I seriously hope that fixed it. Quote
