SwimOdin Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago I bought a new laptop. It's nothing super special, it was a deal on Wal-mart of all places, but it's the nicest computer I've ever had, and I haven't used a computer in years. I forgot how good it could feel to type something that wasn't work related. So tell me about the last time you bought some type of technology (phone, computer, video game console, etc.) that you really had fun tooling around with. The last time technology sparked joy for you, I guess? Because it's been since the Steam Deck that I've had something fun like this. Quote
Mode 7 Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago I'm kinda disappointed that this thread wasn't about the Robin Williams movie 1 1 Quote
PhilosipherStoned Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Tech starts doing the opposite of lighting up your life when you work or have worked in the field a lot lol... I'm still using the same pc I built like 10 years ago and it still outshines a lot of store builds in multiple areas so I guess there's that though. 1 Quote
Raptorpat Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago a couple months back we got a new smart tv, it was neat to have something that's new and up-to-date and not something just old enough or broken enough to be frustrating i got a new phone a couple weeks ago (see here for more details) but as of now I've kind of avoided learning anything new that it might do and assuming we don't forget, gonna order a new work laptop tomorrow after using my current one for maybe eight years, that will be a real treat Quote
The_annoying_one Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago I bought a new TV, laptop, PS5, and Nintendo Switch about two or three years ago because I happened to come into some money. I would love a Steam Deck, but I just can’t afford it now. 1 Quote

I don't really count the switch. I don't see the switch 2 being much more promising but I haven't played with it. 1 Quote
André Toulon Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago My Bravia....i love this thing and just stumbling over new features by fafoing is always a joy. It saves new eps that pop up on my not so legit anime site to my browser so when i open it, it's just like Gachiakuta has updated and i just click to pick up where i left off. My remote has a button that turns on my PS5....worst setting i made because now i cant disable it (without actual effort) and if i roll over on the remote wrong, the console comes on and cuts off whatever i was watching. Not a huge prob, but it happens. Also the various res and blur settings i can set for everything individually , because i like the dynamic mode for cartoons as such, but prefer a more tame setting for regular tv and movies and i have 3 different setting for games depending on what I'm playing. The faux frames really make ps4 games look beautiful without me having to tweak the ps5 every time i downgrade to play older games. Its honestly my favorite thing in my room, overshadowing all my consoles because i might touch them on weekends or just because im up in the middle of the night, but the TV is forever. 1 Quote
