Mr. Idea Box Posted April 18 Posted April 18 This just makes American Dad's return to Fox more surprising, considering this was an option for them. But that would've continued the pipeline further. In all seriousness, I haven't seen practically anything of this revival, so making it come out so soon pretty much says they don't have hope for it. Quote

I don’t think anyone really wants this. Opinion on it has only grown more negative with time. I think people were ok with writing Luanne and Lucky out, but Dale is over the line. And then the reveal of the timeskip where it’s pretty much gonna be The Bobby Show was where any remaining defenders threw in the towel. It can die in peace on Hulu Quote

And of course they have to wedge in a Trump parody with Dale running for some kind of office. Who is the black guy? New character? And does this imply Hank sells his house? Quote
[classic swim] Posted Friday at 10:59 PM Posted Friday at 10:59 PM “Look... Covid! Stuff! We ended in 2009! Can you tell? Stuff!” If not, maybe just for the one episode back or something and then produce a better intro once that gets tiresome. Point of the intro that made it good in the first place was ordinary shit moving at perfect speed that matched with the tune playing. Looks wonky, also. Which, yeah. They’re not using the intro the way it’s supposed to be used. It’s supposed to move fast and not exist to jingle keys. Still, KOTH theme credits should be like the last thing on list to look wonky in a reboot. Y’know. Since there’s minimal work. And little is animated. Quote
Jman Posted 20 hours ago Author Posted 20 hours ago So Hank apparently did leave Arlen while Bobby was presumably in culinary school. Quote
[classic swim] Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Saudi Arabia is such a troll explanation, I’d have to wonder if Hank would make that into a catchphrase or if it’s brought up a couple times and never again. Quote

It’s an 8 year time skip so they are showing everything that happened Hank went to Saudi Arabia on a temporary job and lived in one of those company towns kind of like an army base. Those are more like small town America frozen in time than even in this country. He’s due for a culture shock when he returns Im assuming they rented the house in the meantime or it’s a work exchange program where a Saudi Guy moved into his house. They did cast for a new character named Mohammed Edited 11 hours ago by brianycpht Quote
