I can *kinda* get not being able to sell me deli fried chicken at 1AM... but when it’s SUMMER TIME and not even 9PM I mean come on.

 

I don’t live in New York or anywhere that matters to actual Americans but for a country that prides itself on overworking and underpaying late shift, why strip them of decent hours to eat.

Any of the dozens of times I’ve griped about my addiction, all my hotspots are really down the street for me to walk. Even if I didn’t admittedly have addiction problems, I would still bitch about Cinco de Mayo not having places open on a Sunday.

There should only be Styrofoam cups and paper plates in the world of disposables...there should be no paper cups and no Styrofoam plates. Paper cups don't keep your drink cold and styrofoam plates dissolve if the food is hotter than room temperature.

I only had one single bag of that before they discontinued and that was enough to tell me that was the best of the whole brand.

There’s a ‘Tangy Pickle’ flavor that’s... not entirely the same but it’s got a similar taste. Found it at the gas station awhile ago and not sure how long it’s existed.

But if I’m right and they both taste alike, I don’t see why they don’t just rebrand delicious cheeseburger flavored Doritos since nobody seems  to be interested in Pickle Flavor Doritos.

It’s likable to me but everyone else is gonna see the bag of chips and not want it.

It’s fine when it explores interconnectivity of its “deconstructed “ elements, and in that sense, even vectors exist in balance with their oppositional forces.  But seeking balance has a fundamental flaw that is frequently exploited by incomplete thought experiments: true balance can only be achieved in contained and controlled settings.  Eventually that search for balancing forces gives way to a desire to restrict those vectors to just one path.

I appreciate your input. My flaw was seeing deconstruction and LLM tokenization as the same, even though metaphorically that is a stretch. The mapping of LLM is indeed contained and controlled. Just because the vectors can change, it does not mean that eventually it can't permanently stay in one position.

Yes, this is an incomplete thought experiment, but it is a new frontier, philosophy integrating the nature of LLMs. And at least I'm not saying something like AI is the ubermensch.

I wouln't call that a flaw.  My thing has always been a variation of deconstruction in language, so naturally, I can appreciate the idea of AI using tokens to automate a process I use myself.  Saying it's a stretch doesn't do justice to the true scope of deconstructionism.  More importantly, we're still early in the new AI reality - we may know that a rigidity trap is on the horizon, but we won't know how it will manifest itself.
