SNOW!!!

oh, thats a decent amount. i wager you wouldn't want much more than that in the south. did you go out in it?

we have barely had any snow at all this year, even less than last. its just been a roller coaster of sunny, cold, and dry af, then climbs up into the high 50's and rains. we've had a little bit of snow but not enough to stick around which is really weird for the lakeshore in west michigan. i kinda hate the stuff and am glad i haven't had to deal with those drives or shoveling... but its also troublesome for agriculture so i'm feelin mixed about it.

1-3" here Sun. Night into Mon. Morn, then an additional 3-6" going into Tues. when the "Lake Effect" kicks in.

They said we've only had about .7" since Dec. and are calling this storm a "drought buster" for the area.  Beginning to look like I'll be putting the gas I bought for the snowblower into my car this year even if we get the max 9" snowfall.

a lot if it has melted at this point, so we made a run into town which was kinda deserted.

the lack of snow in western michigan is really kind of strange. not that i'm an expert but i usually associate that part of the country with pretty hard winters.

it is weird, just a couple years ago we had full blown ice caves on lake mi here... like on the lake... cuz it typically freezes over pretty far out

these are from march 2015

That second photo is such a gorgeous shot with the sky and lighting. Did you get more pictures inside the ice caves like that one?

The snow skipped us, which is nice. We might get some mixed bag tomorrow, but I have the day off so that shouldn't be a big deal.

We haven't had much snow this year, nothing above 3 inches. Usually we get two or three snows a year.

Ohhhhh, no. Those first two I had to pull from the internet. They were local submissions to news places and what not. I went into the caves but I didn't bring a camera. So I can't take credit for them. I don't know if the original photographer of the second has a gallery with those one the internet :/

look i live in the south,

this happens like twice a year if we're lucky.  :|

We're supposed to get five to eight inches this week.  That used to be a "just shut up and drive to work" day.  People today are scared shitless of snow.  If we get three inches, the governor brays out, "Emergency!  EMergenCY!" then shuts down all the state run roads so he can get his share of federal "disaster" relief.

I was gonna be like, "Gurrl, you better sell some prints of that mug," if you had taken them.

Found it funny that on the news one time when Atlanta got like two inches and everyone pulled over to the side and a bunch of people were stranded on a bridge. Meanwhile in PA we had 6 inches a few days ago and are supposed to get 2 more tonight.

It's the ice, not snow that shuts down Georgia. Atlanta wasn't so bad this last winter because a lot of roads were treated properly there, but pretty much the rest of the state has to wait for the ice to melt on its own.

so we did end up getting a little bit of snow since very early am monday, but not a lot. now its sunny and freezing. haha! the next week looks like a day to day rollercoaster of sunny and cold af, snow, rain, sunny, freezing rain, sunny, snow, and so on and so on. at least the temp is gonna climb a little bit about a quarter way through. yay! hahahaha :D

My brother stayed at my place last night since he didn't want to be stuck where he lives and not be able to get to work. But he was a pain in the ass last night because I didn't have a full stock of food and he wanted me to spend like $30 so he could get a large wing tray. I was like fuck you I'll eat stuff in the fridge. I was sick for the last two days, but since I was feeling better yesterday I said I would go out somewhere and eat or grab fast food. He pissed a moaned till I was like fuck it we'll go to costco and get shit. (Meanwhile at costco)

Grabbed a thing of steaks, and he threw wings into the cart, I asked why? "Oh we can eat them for a side". Wings Aren't a Side You Dense Motherfucker!!! Then he bitched cause they didn't have sauce to dip them in so I had to make a honey mustard and blue cheese sauce from scratch. An the ass only gave me $20 which only covered his wings not the steak he ate, let alone the other bullshit he kept putting into the cart. Had to cook the steaks outside on the grill as well, so that was a treat when I asked him for a hand and his replay was "don't worry you got it"....
