I just saw some at Ollies and they weren't the brand in the OP so i guess everyone that makes these cookies slaps them in a blue tin and bulks them out during the holidays.

It also may explain why OP loves hers and the ones ive had all sucked

I think Big Lots carries them year 'round.

Or it could be because I was forced to like them because I’ve always been an afterthought

I think I've only found cookies inside one of those tins like once in my life. The mystery was gone once I tasted them though. Meh.
