3ngag3 Posted December 11, 2020 Posted December 11, 2020 (edited) And there's your winner of the Toomani show bracket getting it's own marathon. Edited December 11, 2020 by 3ngag3 Quote
CountFrylock Posted December 11, 2020 Posted December 11, 2020 And most obvious toonami announcement of the year goes to... Quote
The1gairon Posted December 11, 2020 Posted December 11, 2020 It was only a matter of time. Their contract with the rights to Cowboy Bebop apparently lasts forever. 1 Quote

Jman Posted December 11, 2020 Posted December 11, 2020 I still expect to see Bebop back on regular rotation when the LA series debuts and presumably sucks. DeMarco has an easy layup, going “this is how Bebop should look, not like a lame low budget drama with Current Year politics,” 3 Quote
CaptainStarwind Posted December 12, 2020 Posted December 12, 2020 Totally not surprised but also not disapponted. Glad it isn't Dragon Ball Super. 4 1 Quote

Kind of glad they're not getting into Real Folk Blues, but surprised there's no "Asteroid Blues". 2 Quote
The1gairon Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 I am surprised Mushroom Samba isn't on that list. 1 Quote

Toonami should have done a "theme" night in 2016 with that, episode 9 of Samurai Champloo, and that really trippy episode of Michiko and Hatchin, maybe along with a trippy episode of FLCL or two. THAT would have been funny. Too bad 4/20/16 didn't fall on a Saturday! 1 Quote
saito34 Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 Samba was the other one I was definitely expecting. 1 Quote

Seems like it's (barring the three above) all the plot-relevant episodes, and Toys in the Attic. I get that Bebop is a short show, but I swear to God they show the same episodes every marathon. 1 Quote
PokeNirvash Posted December 22, 2020 Posted December 22, 2020 If I programmed my own Bebop marathon, I'd throw in Bohemian Rhapsody because it's one of the more underappreciated ones, and also my boy Tsuru-sensei storyboarded it. Also Pierrot le Fou, for obvious reasons. 4 Quote
Top Gun Posted December 22, 2020 Posted December 22, 2020 Wild Horses never gets enough love. Actual orbital mechanics, a wonderful moment for a departed spacecraft, great stuff. 2 Quote
OwlChemist81 Posted December 24, 2020 Posted December 24, 2020 There are actually 2 important pieces of ground Toonami broke in 2020: Adult-Oriented DC animated movies (Batman double features in August, Wonder Woman/Justice League in December) Marathons of shows not currently airing on the regular lineup (DBZ Kai, The Promised Neverland, PRIMAL, Cowboy Bebop) 2 Quote
ben0119 Posted January 3, 2021 Posted January 3, 2021 (edited) Troll Demarco before he pushed the button to start the marathon - I didn't watch it of course, because I've seen it too many times already thanks to eons of reruns. But it is pretty neat they picked out specific episodes to run instead of just starting from the beginning or maybe leading into the end or something. Edited January 3, 2021 by ben0119 Quote

It turns into a bit of a sadder moment than it was meant to be. 3 Quote
