I still expect to see Bebop back on regular rotation when the LA series debuts and presumably sucks.  DeMarco has an easy layup, going “this is how Bebop should look, not like a lame low budget drama with Current Year politics,”

Same! Toonami should have done a "theme" night in 2016 with that, episode 9 of Samurai Champloo, and that really trippy episode of Michiko and Hatchin, maybe along with a trippy episode of FLCL or two.

THAT would have been funny. Too bad 4/20/16 didn't fall on a Saturday!

I'm sure if they would have had 5 hours to program they would have included Asteroid Blues and Real Folk Blues. 

Seems like it's (barring the three above) all the plot-relevant episodes, and Toys in the Attic.  I get that Bebop is a short show, but I swear to God they show the same episodes every marathon.

If I programmed my own Bebop marathon, I'd throw in Bohemian Rhapsody because it's one of the more underappreciated ones, and also my boy Tsuru-sensei storyboarded it.

Also Pierrot le Fou, for obvious reasons.

There are actually 2 important pieces of ground Toonami broke in 2020:

Adult-Oriented DC animated movies (Batman double features in August, Wonder Woman/Justice League in December)

Marathons of shows not currently airing on the regular lineup (DBZ Kai, The Promised Neverland, PRIMAL, Cowboy Bebop)

I didn't watch it of course, because I've seen it too many times already thanks to eons of reruns.  But it is pretty neat they picked out specific episodes to run instead of just starting from the beginning or maybe leading into the end or something.

To be fair, the Columbia was destroyed after the episode was made.  It turns into a bit of a sadder moment than it was meant to be.
