Distinct Lunatic Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 At my workplace with one of our buildings we have a similar situation, where at times it'd be cooler to just stand outside than be in there. The problem is the AC is shit, the indoor unit is spitting up water and needs cleaning out, while somewhere between that and the outdoor unit it's leaking freon. And despite the big boss ordering that it be fixed, there's essentially a standoff between the boiler man of that building and our dedicated HVAC guys about whos job it is to fix it. The boiler man just halfasses it every other day by putting more freon in it. Which is very wasteful both moneywise, as well as it being a strong pollutant.
