That show was a big chunk of my childhood. Him and everyone else on that show inspired a sense of curiosity in me

Man, way too young. I don't know if this is in poor taste, but I preferred him a lot to Scottie, as he had a lot more "personality", so to speak.

That said, I think what killed my interest in Mythbusters was that they found the formula that all myths were either "Adam and Jamie" or "Grant, Tory and Kari," and that format got old to me, I preferred it when they mixed it up who worked together on what.
