Distinct Lunatic
You're supposed to be up and at work in 3 hours but haven't slept at all, and for the love of god am completely unable to, and you also have a very important interview in 3 hours but haven't slept at all, and for the love of god am completely unable to. like jesus christ man. it's 5:15AM, and work starts at 8, and 15 minutes into it I have an interview there. normally we don't work until after 2pm, but cause of thanksgiving we're allowed to work days tomorrow. We were told that if we wanted to we could work our normal shift, but considering I have an interview in the morning that isn't really an option. best course of action for me is to come in early, some of my guys were planning on doing 7-3:30 instead, but i chose the 8 since i wanted more time to sleep, but I failed that part so I'll just start at 7. i really hate going into a day without sleeping at all the night before... RainyDayJizz#35
My sleep is strange. When I get sleepy I have about a two hour window to actually manage it. If I miss it, I'm awake. So my option is clean up and be ready for a shitty day, cause when I get home life is pain until sleep.

It also being a case where I can't get comfortable. my bed doesn't feel comfortable, if i use one blanket I'm too cold but if I use the 2nd one then I'm too hot. and when that's not the issue it feels too difficult to breath out of my nose, and if not that then it feels too dry in my mouth. what i'm most likely gonna do is shower sometime after 6 even though i already did sometime after 11, and go to work at 7, them being flexible about that. I'll try to get past the halfway point at least and if I feel like I'm about to pass out I'll take a halfday

Distinct Lunatic
I swear to god man, I'm so fucking tired of this shit. I had this issue last wednesday, and now exactly one week later I'm having it again. It's 7am, and I've been lying in bed for over 6 hours straight trying to sleep before finally giving up. At some point around 3 or so I thought I fell asleep but I think I just woke up very shortly after. I don't understand why in gods name this shit is happening. With last week, normally we work evenings til 11, but because of thanksgiving we were scheduled to work days, I also had an interview to get hired full time this place at 8am, and I ended up not sleeping at all. I'm still scheduled to work evenings today, but I have a second interview today at 10am, and again I couldn't sleep a single fucking bit man. And it's not like I'm stressed about the interview, I've been through 5 others at this place in the past and have never lost sleep the night before. Last time it was a case where I couldn't get comfortable at all, this time I got comfortable several times, but not one fucking time could I fall asleep. Fuck man, have I said fuck enough. The only bright side is I don't work until 2:30, so after my interview I should hopefully be able to sleep til 2.

Distinct Lunatic
I've never watched the amazing world of Gumball. Rule 34 of the mom is the most I've seen from the series.
Distinct Lunatic
Looks like some good came out of all this. To get hired full time at my work place there's two tier interviews, you do one then hope they move you to the 2nd one. A couple weeks back our boss said that they will be hiring 3 people with this session, and then later told me and 2 other of my guys that we're the ones he was gonna give his recommendations. I had the 2nd interview this morning, and from what I gathered the only three they moved on to the 2nd interview was the 3 they planned on, so come next Tuesday I'll officially be hired full time 3
katt_goddess
I have found that sometimes changing my orientation on the bed helps with the sleeping issues. Basically, pillows moved to the foot of the bed and my feet are at the headboard. But I can only do that move if I don't have to get up for work in the morning because the placement of the alarm clock means I can 'accidentally' turn it off with my foot if the cat doesn't beat me to it. That and maybe a couple of Tylenols [ NOT those PM kind though, they screw up my sleep patterns even worse -.-; ] for the pain. Otherwise, if I don't sleep all through the night like I need to [ and it happens more often than it should ], I just have to suck it up and go to work anyway. The hope being that I'll be so tired by the time I get home again that I'll be able to fall asleep exactly when I crawl into bed and stay asleep.

I also sleep that way cause with where the window in my room is, it's on the east side which means blinding light comes in every morning. I only switch back to the other side as my trump card metaphorically speaking. If I manage to get hired I'm hoping to buy a new house by Summer 2020, and one thing I'd like to do when I move out is buy one of those purple mattresses. I considered going for a full sized one, but the last time I looked the price difference between it and Queen was only like $
Distinct Lunatic
I've essentially been awake since 10:30am yesterday, after my interview this morning at 10 I took some melatonin but was only able to get 2 hours of sleep with interruption in between them. I then went on to work from 2 to 11, surprisingly I was pretty wide awake in the second half of the shift despite feeling like a zombie for the first half. After I got home a little earlier I took 2 melatonin pills, and now I'm trying to fight it off for about 20 more minutes until midnight so that if all goes well I pass out immediately after lying down. Last wednesday when I had this same problem, once I finally laid down that night I slept 10 hours straight.

Sir Teddybar Gut Fullung
Just find a way to sleep and sleep for as long as you possibly can. Also, set your alarm for when you need to wake up so you don't oversleep. Finally, drink a shit load of coffee.

I think it's just what it is, there's a lot of interspecies and animateinanimate races in that world making 'race' obsolete, (race but not stereotypes). What I was trying to say is that anything goes. Don't think I've seen much of the first season either, I don't think I've ever seen ANY eps in consecutive order but I'm pretty sure you haven't missed any key details of their existence. Some told me that "you're just nervous about the interview" which might be the case on a subconscious level, but I didn't feel that way at all. It's not it's the first interview I've had with these people, technically this is my 6th hiring session I've been through. The difference though is this time I know I'm finally getting hired full time. And in case someone wants to comment on the part of me getting passed over 5 times up until now, that's how it is with union jobs, especially one that's considered a govt job. If you're not related to, or good friends with someone that carries weight, and you don't come out of the gate swinging, you're waiting 1 and a half to 3 years, getting passed over by folks that do have those connections, or came out of the gate swinging like a super soldier and get the right set of eyes on you to where they want to snatch you up so you don't go somewhere else. Distinct Lunatic
Hopefully this is the last chapter of this three part series... But another night with no sleep at all, despite taking 2 melatonins at 2:30. I do think I might have fallen asleep but I'm not sure, it felt like I was awake the whole time but I remember checking my phone a little after 3, and the next time I checked it was 6 and it felt like that went by pretty fast, my mom said it's possible during that time it was probably a very light sleep to where I could still hear everything, that being why it went by so quick. I managed to get a couple hours of sleep earlier though, I took more melatonin around 8:30 and I think I fell asleep a little after 9, but it was a case where I kept waking up every 30 minutes or so and had to keep going back to sleep. I think I got around 3 and a half hours of sleep, waking up at least 4 times in between and having to go back to sleep. I'm really hoping today is the final day of all this bullshit. The first time this happened was the Wednesday before thanksgiving, me having my first tier interview to get hired full time at my work place, then exactly a week later on the next Wednesday I had the problem again, that being the day of my second tier interview. And now a week after that, today being tuesday where they'll be having their meeting, where they discuss various things including hirings, if things go as my boss assured me and the other two we should get hired. I'm just worried that at the very last minute I'll get dicked over again and have the rug pulled out from under me, the other 2 guys getting hired while I'm forced to wait another month, and then go through all this bullshit again with doing 2 more interviews and waiting for another meeting. Also if I don't get hired before the end of the year then I have to wait until July 1st of next year to get the big pay raise you get from getting hired, as well as my benefits.
