Why have you never provided us with video

Because I don't want to burn material on here, and even if I posted a video of me murdering people would just talk shit anyway and say I'm trash regardless so it kinda doesn't matter lol. But you don't want to see video of tonight. It was ten minutes of decent laughs then ten minutes of polite chortles. They just stopped paying attention after the first half of my set. TLDR: I can dm you video if you really want to see it.

Did you get crabs? 🦀🦀🦀🦀

No lol. I contemplated it but this place didn't look reputable. It was honestly kinda sketch. Cool place, but sketch. Maybe next time I can get both types of crabs. Fuck it. It's temporary.

I've been very fortunate to never have an std but now that I'm a D list comedian it might be time. Herpes is for the A listers

I got scabies from sharing a bed w/my friend samantha during a sleepover in highschool. Crusty bitch. She denied it too. We were all yelling at her all night bc she kept waking us up w/her itching. That's the only one I ever got, but idk if it counts since I didn't have sex to get it.

Lmao crusty bitch 😂😂😂😂😂

That's ass because the only good thing about an STD is the sex you have to get it. I didn't even know scabies was a real thing. I always thought it was like a phrase lol

They're microscopic mites that burrow into your skin. Pretty cool.

That is so fucking horrible! How tf do you get them besides from other people? Holy fuck just reading that made me cringe.

It's not like you can see them. They're microscopic. You can't feel them either. The itching is from an allergic reaction. Mine was mild and I didn't even get a rash. I just itched like crazy. Other types of mites are on you all the time. They just don't make you itch. They're like symbiotic with humans. Everybody has them. Google "eyelash mites"

Ok I'm freaking out now. This is crazy. What's fucked up is my eyes itch rn. You're like a scientist. A scientist who knows a lot of shit about a lot of shit. Like you know so much shit. Then again I was educated in Alabama so maybe I'm just really fucking stupid. That's probably it.

How often do you watch your sets back and take notes?

I seldom record my sets. thing is, when I perform I have a near photographic memory of the crowds reaction. Pretty much as soon as I walk off stage I start thinking about everything that happened. What worked and what didn't work. I focus mainly on what needs to be improved upon. Things I can change and jokes that flat out need to go. I only test material at open mics though. Shows only get proven stuff. So to answer your question, constantly. Sometimes I'm even too hard on myself admittedly. I could have an amazing set but I'll focus on one joke in my set that didn't do so hot instead of acknowledging that I had a great set overall.

That's cool. I've only attempted stand-up a few times, but I was a performer for a good few years. I got obsessive about it, to the point that I started recording it and trying to learn from it. I'm a singer, so I would dissect my performance of the song, all the way down to figuring out what vocal runs and series of superfluous notes did and didn't work. The fun thing about singing is that you can play with the vocals a little bit.

So for example, I can sort of pitch down on the last word of a line of lyric, or I can punctuate it, or during an instrumental break I can try an extra little something. I know a big thing with comics is trying different ways to phrase things, or punching up a joke. I even do that sometimes with lyrics. I can change a word and make the lyric a little bit more poignant. I think it works the same in comedy, because ultimately it's all performance art, y'know?

I have a question.  Do you have another job, outside of stand-up?

The reason I ask is because I had a bit of difficulty getting comfortable with not having some tangible result of doing a show on air.  Every other job I'd ever had, I could point to something I did, something that physically existed because of the effort I made.  It was a little weird being on air for 6 hours and not having anything unless I made an aircheck tape. (and I used to cringe when I listened to those, catching every time I said "tuh" instead of "to")

Maybe it was because I didn't even have any feedback either, unless and until the PD reviewed an aircheck tape.

considering you do music you're already more talented than me lol. But yes you are 100% correct. It's crazy, but the smallest word change can make or break a joke. I've had jokes that bombed and then I change a single word or phrasing and the joke kills. Any performance art is all about trial and error. You also have to be brutally honest with yourself when analyzing your performance. It's gotta be way harder with music though. Comedy is just putting words in a funny order. Music is putting them in a pretty order and making that shit sound beautiful lol

Yes. I am nowhere near good enough to do stand up for a living and I probably wont be for at least several more years. Likely much more lol. I do commercial and print acting primarily. I also do odd jobs here and there. Landscaping, helping people move. I'm good with manual labor, but I make most of my money from commercials and corporate training videos.
