SwimModSponges Posted May 26, 2019 Posted May 26, 2019 You start up your lawn mower, your neighbor hears it and thinks "... fuck, i better get on out there too." Then they make old man noises while they get the mower out of the garage. 2
tsar4 Posted May 26, 2019 Posted May 26, 2019 I'd mow the lawn... IF IT EVER STOPS FREAKIN' RAINING LONG ENOUGH FOR THE GRASS TO DRY OUT!!! 1

It probably has to do more with me mowing in the afternoon rather than morning.
SwimModSponges Posted May 26, 2019 Author Posted May 26, 2019 Bet the old folks think that's lazy. "Plant the cornn get 'er goin'

Skiles Posted May 26, 2019 Posted May 26, 2019 (edited) I definitely think that's a dad thing, and/or an old guy thing. I feel like a lot of men develop "grass pride" as they get older. I don't get it. Maybe I will when I'm older. I just know it's time to mow when Daisy won't go in the yard and shit. But even then it only gets a little past ankle height. Now it's like taking my life in my hands, one of the neighbors whose property abuts my backyard bought a plastic pond 2 years ago and never did anything with it. It just collects scummy water & mosquitos infested with who knows what. If it weren't for Deep Woods Off, I'd probably be carried off by a bunch of them. 1
TrigunBebop Posted May 26, 2019 Posted May 26, 2019 I used to do yard work for my grandfather, and whenever I started mowing the lawn I'd always set off a chain reaction. By the time I was done, everyone on the entire street would be mowing their lawns. 1

midnight Posted May 26, 2019 Posted May 26, 2019 I did all the weed eating yesterday. Took three hours, but the yard looks good again. I don't get how the grass is growing so fast when we haven't had rain in weeks. If we don't get rain soon, things are going to get rough.

SwimModSponges Posted May 27, 2019 Author Posted May 27, 2019 Thats what you think. One of your neighbors is growing corn in their basement. Guarenteed. 1
