It has been.

But you would be proud.

I have been getting a lot of retro gaming in.

Been powering through some NES games.

I'm struggling badly NES games. I can play SNES and Genesis with no problem but NES games...the struggle is real:|

I'm having a hard time playing the Little Mermaid one of the easiest NES games. Talk about hitting rock bottom:|

Dude. It's the mental block of it being an all-underwater game. That shit will mess with your gaming mojo. Capcom and Disney fucked with us on that one.

Darkwing Duck may be the hardest of the bunch :|

I was partial to Duck Tales.

I had a blast with that game back in the day.

We have been playing the hell out of the Switch since Christmas.

Got a lot of NES games on it. I am trying my best to get through Ghosts and Goblins, but so far, no such luck.

DuckTales is just as hard now as it was back then.but still a great game as for Ghost and Goblins I just don't have patience for that ballbuster of a game. Give me Super Ghouls and Ghosts instead

Yeah. It's hard as hell. So is Ninja Gaiden. I've been trying to get through it, but shit.

I never beat an NES game until I was probably an older teenager, despite me having an NES since age 3.

For me personally once I moved on to the Super Nintendo it became hard to go back to the NES. The SNES improved a lot of the issues I had with the NES so for me trying to play NES games feels like playing beta versions of SNES games.

SNES is definitely the better system, can't argue there.

Compared to the SNES the NES hasn't aged that well in my eyes. It's like why would I want to play Metroid when Super Metroid is right there. Same thing with Zelda. I'm not saying that the NES is a bad console but it is a product of it's time.

I agree wholeheartedly with Metroid, I didn't like original Metroid at all while Super Metroid is an absolute masterpiece. But Zelda 1 is my all time favorite Zelda (and game in general, really), and I really love Zelda 2 as well. But for other pluses to the SNES, Mega Man X and X2 are better than any NES Mega Man games (as great as 2 and 3 were; never played X3), Final Fantasy II / IV and Final Fantasy III / VI are LIGHTYEARS beyond Final Fantasy I, and Super Mario World is better than any NES Mario game.

Super Mario All Stars in my opinion is the best way to play the original Mario trilogy
