I was super psyched about them and, no joke, first day I wear them out there was a forty something white lady shopping with her kids who passes me in the cereal aisle and says "heyyy, great minds think alike" and I turn to see her modeling her shoes for me........same.damn.pair of adidas.....

I walked out of there bare foot, sans groceries....I gotta keep these things looking mint so I can return them....If I didn't blow my shoe budget on them i'd set them on fire...

It still doesn't change the fact that he has the personal style of a middle aged white lady xD

oh, for sure she was psyched....it works differently the other way around....she's probably like "oh snap, black guys are wearing these, they MUST be cool"

Chapter 2: Redemption

Nightmarish day spent shopping for thanksgiving meal where I find myself in the familiar position of being complemented on my shoes again.....BUT, THIS TIME......it was a black gay guy.....the kewl factor is there by doubled and my style points returned to me in full, by the recognition of this stereotypically presumed fashion maven....only slightly tarnished by him subsequently hitting on me, but watevs....it.still.counts
