doctor visit was a success

finally went to the doctor this morning. i have a terrible case of strep throat. got two shots, one an antibiotic and the other for pain. 

got two meds prescribed, an antibiotic and a pain med.

i am already feeling a world of difference.

and i can finally drink again.

i haven't eaten anything or had anything to drink since friday. 

disco is cooking roasts, so i think i might eat tonight.

still not sleepy.

damn, i didn't know you could get it from that.

i had been nowhere in a week. just got sick. 

my throat is still sore, but its manageable now. i went to the dr last week, for something else, and this morning when they weighed me, i had lost 11 pounds since last week.

but i havn't eaten a bite since friday. and that was a mouthful of homemade soup my mom brought to me. 

i really think i over medicated yesterday. which is why i've been up since 6:00 yesterday morning. and still wired.

yeah. she just brought me a sample of the roast, and it was delicious. i dont have a hell of an appetite. like, i don't feel hungry. But I am going to try to eat a little. I know you are supposed to eat when taking antibiotics. disco is making mashed potatoes and green beans too, so that will be a hearty meal, that should do the soul some good.

Every time I have to go to the doctor it ends up being strep. It's been five years since I've been now.

I rarely go either, and it seems to always be strep for me too. I wasn't sure this time because the pain was way more intense this time.

Make sure that you drink plenty of clear liquids. Also, yogurt will help with the lower GI effects of the antibiotic.

What kind of roast? I can be there in around 7 hours depending on traffic.

I'll grab some yogurt when I go to the store later in the week. I am drinking Powerade at the moment. I was craving it something terribly. I have never wanted anything more in my life, than something cold and refreshing to drink.

I haven't had strep throat since I was probably ten but it was one of my worst illnesses. The only time's I've felt sicker were when I had pneumonia as a teen and a horrible sunburn on my back, also when I was a teen. That shit ain't nothing ta fuck wit.

One time in high school I had a horrible sunburn on my back. It didn't make me feel sick, but it hurt too much to change into my P.E. shirt.

i have had severe sunburn, chickenpox, walking pneumonia, I've even had strep before, that led to rheumatic fever, leaving me with a minor heart condition. None of those things, were as bad as this bout with strep.

Oh. I lost a finger in a four wheeler accident when I was a teenager. I would have gladly traded another finger to have an instant cure for strep.

No. I prefer to keep what I have left. But, I am telling the 100% truth, I have never been as sick as I have been now, in my entire life. 

Thank goodness, I should be done with it in a couple more days. When I woke up a half hour ago, my throat was really hurting. Already better now. Just needed to get the sleep out my mouth and a cold glass of Powerade.
