Should OKC let you see who people respond to and their conversations?

It's a hotly debated topic because proponents of this measure, I happen to be on of them, believe that it's just the same as overhearing a conversation in public between two potential lovebirds. I am glad that OKC might make a push for this change because it allows you to know more and see what's going on. Ya know what I mean? 👨‍🚀

I am not in favor of this change just for the virtue that stalkers and/or crazy exes would be enabled to track potential victims more easily. Please allow me to give you an example: Girl 'A' Was in a horrible relationship wherein she was battered and systematically tormented  for 2 years by  guy 'B'. Girl 'A' eventually gets away from guy 'B'. After some time passes Girl 'A' Searches for companionship and love on OKC. Guy 'B'Create an alias and gets on OK cupid,Tracks girl 'A's Conversations and uses some subversive tactics to arrange a meeting , and then guy 'B' murders girl "A".  I know this is merely the worst case scenario, but considering how reactive our society currently is, any instance such as this would ruin OKC's reputation for years to come.

Dude, that is merely the worst case scenario. Think realistically. If somebody like me took advantage of this feature, knowledge would truly be power.

If you had actually read my whole post you would have seen that I did in fact say it was 'merely a worst case scenario'. However, even if it only happened one time in an isolated incident people would lose their gosh darn minds. Because sheeple

I really don't care what the voices in your head are "hotly debating".

I think if people set their conversations to public, that would be one thing, because public displays of people's shitty behavior might possibly curb shitty, rude and offensive fuckboys, but if users don't have the option it just feels like a breach of privacy

Yeah but what the proponents of this move argue is that "privacy" leads to promiscuous and immoral behavior. I personally don't see why it's a big deal unless you have something to hide such as some raucous fling that reveals something unsavory about your character!!! 🐰👨‍💼👩‍💻

All I participate in is unsavory, immoral behavior. Let me live my dark fantasy sex scenarios in peace, OKC!

It just seems like the proponent's arguments are way stronger, especially given the recent "SJW" movements. Some people would like to know if others are engaging in this kind of activity while ignoring them, and they would like to sit down and have serious discussions with those engaging in the questionable behavior.

I did read your whole post. Your scenario makes it so that Guy A gets the girl every time, even under an alias. My scenario is realistic and involves Guy A being an alpha male, a normal but studly guy who hasn't taken his cue from corny movies, and he talks to girl A and he has an amazing conversation with her and is set to meet up and create something special, but then girl A ghosts on him, and the question really is whether guys B, C, and/or D were responsible for this act of domestic terrorism, and reliquinshing some unnecessary "privacy" rights under the awesome Patriot Act would help Guy A get the much needed resolution he needs. 👨‍⚕️😼🦒
