Banana fish is literally gay, as in the main characters are two men who are in love with eachother

Golden Kamuy isn't supposed to be gay....all the guys the show focuses around like women.....the art is just really really REALLY homoerotic

like for example the guys are drawn naked and you can LITERALLY SEE EVERYTHING, and there's NO FEMALE NUDITY AT ALL, but the characters themselves don't like men

Banana Fish is kind of in a contract bind with Amazon, so that's out for Toonami.

But yeah, it's from the same anime staff as Yuri On Ice, not to mention there was SOME homoerotic subtext in the source material too.

8. Is it's MAL score below 5? High 6, low 7.

9. Does it have a confusing, nihilistic plot? Confusing enough for the normies, and not nearly as nihilistic as the first episode would suggest.

10. Is it aimed toward an audience aged 12-16? 18-24.

I'm still gonna make that season 2 with Titmouse on board.

that said the hotspring episode did remove SOME of the gay stuff....but made other scenes way gayer as a trade off

 

scenes that were cut include

2. one of the guys grabbing another guy's (seemingly erect) dick causing him to moan
3. POSSIBLY the anus exposure scene as I've not seen anyone mention it

but then they also made a scene where one character mentions he got shot in the ass more homoerotic by drawing his ass waaaay more explicitly than it was drawn in the manga, and added a bunch of up-close glamour shots to the above posing scene

and left in a scene of one character getting slapped in the face by a dick....twice
