Did you run out of paper? Because the second one looks thrown out.

She has art paper in a sketch notebook but doesn't use it and grabs paper from all over. Then she crams them into a binder willy nilly. Who knows. Shes 8. Organization will come later.

i don't know what materials you have for her.

but evil~mart has those pretty useful 'art cases'

you should get her that.

unless you already did.

Yah i did. Gonna get a fresh one for her birthday in October

my oldest and youngest are artists.

the oldest, in her own right. she's been commissioned for some small projects.

the youngest, is moving onto ink, and soon oils and pastels. she'll be home schooled for these last 2 years,

and i'm interested to see what the courses will offer her.

also, get her some rubbing charcoal.

doing 'rubbing's is a pretty fun activity you can both do.

like, headstones, building markers, the older city manhole covers.

just some ideas.

A couple of parts are traced.....

No they arent lol but thanks for the compliment

And why wouldn't it all be traced? That makes no sense

it comes down to either frustration for the inability to replicate or knowing not how to associate shape into something tangible to replicate

It makes no sense that shes tracing just part of it but drawing the rest. U stupid af

No...it did make sense...

one can trace some based on their level of understanding and ability....she traced the head to get the shape and expression correct...which is fine...that’s how to learn sometimes...

but after the shape was correct she knew how to do the rest of the body. You can see the confidence she has in the body...the head she was unsure of...

Except shes not tracing anything

She draws from a book where the drawings are tiny. I already posted it before

Whatever fugg...I never said it was a bad thing...the difference in style is obvious...

youre not gonna understand complex shapes and angles without tracing when you’re learning to hone a skill...that’s ok...she’s getting better and more confident...that’s a good thing

No you were trying to discredit her artwork and talents out of your own insecurities.

No I wasn’t...as much as I can’t fucking stand you...i harbor great respect for growing young artists...I take these art threads of yours seriously

art helped me a lot when I was younger

i was trying to point out the strength and areas she’s trying to work on. She is getting better...

i was going to give you some ideas as to how to encourage her art ability and increase her confidence to the point of not needed as much tracing guidance. Not to mention I was going to do a back and forth art commission with her for you. To keep her excited and eager for positive feedback outside of mom who admittedly said she can’t draw.

I can even create higher level at home art skills than what she gets at school...so that when highschool hits and she continues art, she will be miles above others....

but you want to fight with me instead...w/e

Huh what? I never said she couldn't draw. You did by assuming shes tracing. Well shes not. All she does is visual. You cant help her if you are refusing to realise what level she is on.

No you twit..YOU said YOU couldn’t draw...

im not assuming she’s tracing...I know she is...

i don’t know how many times I have to say this...TRACING IS FINE...it is how we learn some techniques....it’s nothing to get this defensive about...it’s not a big deal but you made it one...

and I can clearly see where she’s at...

But how could she ever trace an object smaller than what she drew? There is simply no way to do it.

You're stupid as fuck.

But,  in this instance,  it appears she just drew a random shape, got an idea from looking at it, went back and made it bigger, then sketched the rest of it. I've done it, too.

Seriously, why do I get the sense that the people on this site have more interest in Fuggs' daughter's health and well being than Fuggs' does....
