See? :D

I'll have to see how things go. Flashbacks are still a problem for this show, but not to the extent as seen in previous seasons.

Also, it's refreshing to see less conflict between humans and titans, and more so between humans and their own kind.

Yeah. Good point.

It didn't fully register until first seeing this ep that the only reason we haven't really seen it is that these guys don't have to worry about piercing the neck of a Titan.

What bothers me is they don't even mention the basement anymore... or the whole coordinate thing Erin has that's basically a huge game changer. They're just like nope we're a gunslinger anime now.

both refreshing and frustrating, i'd say. i always like stories about humans fighting each other better than humans versus some unilaterally evil inhuman species.

however, when the story shifts from fighting a unilateral evil to humans warring, i always get really angry. 'THE REAL ENEMY IS RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU, THERE'S NO TIME FOR THIS BICKERING AMONGST YOURSELVES HORSESHIT!!!"

And then a Titan ate them.

The End.

I dunno really. Only Reiner seemed to know what that power was among the characters we know so far, so at least for the moment it's not that strange. It's not like Survey Corps has anyone to ask that we know of.

It's not like Hange isn't still experimenting with Eren's Titan also, like we saw in this episode.

Major spoiler

By the way, from what I understand, we won't be abandoning info about the whole Coordinate thing for very long anyway. :)

I knew she'd buy it!  Damn, she was cute, too!

A mass murderer?  Yeah the plot has definitely diverted.  Isn't there enough shit going on already?

And that's another thing. Any time this show introduces new characters like in S2... they're gonna die. They're always gonna be cannon fodder.

Yeah. The reason I probably don't mind it here where I have in other shows I think is that it's rather fitting for this show and that it was set up with us being clued in early that there were these conspiracies within the wall in addition to the whole wall church thing during season 1.

Yeah, unless they're particularly important, we're pretty deep in for new mains, I liked her but I knew she was totally gonna die.

That other guy with the goggles who I think has been in the background a few times over the three seasons as well, got blown away too.

Well we know there's some shenanigans going on behind the scenes and that not everything is what it seems.  Even still, it feels like the show just went off on a whole other tangent.

Dude there were characters like that in S1.  Remember that group I think Eren was training/hiding with and how obvious it was they were all gonna die?:D I never got why people said that NO ONE IS SAFE in this show when there's a pretty obvious group of characters that are safe and obvious cannon fodder.

Introducing a new (sub)plot this far into the story. That's the sort of shit that makes me tune out pretty quickly. Also not a huge fan of adding even more significant characters to a cast that was already hard to keep track of to begin with.

Also, I've been feeling this for a long while now, but, it's really hard to see any character as some badass when his name is a brand of jeans. (seriously, when I first saw his name written, I had assumed it would be pronounced levee, not lee-vai.) So I suppose it makes perfect sense to give his arch rival a name just as innocuous.

But. Just. The way the introduced him. "Hey, you remember that story about that dude that we've literally never brought up before?" Weak ass writing.

I rather like it maybe since it's not a new subplot to my mind, it's actually just going back to an old one and looks to be doing a deep dive that I think we've been waiting for.

It was indeed very convenient timing so it would be nice if they somehow imply that something about the situation maybe specifically brought him back to mind or something at that particular moment, in order to hand wave him bringing him up moments before he shows up for "more thrilling cinematic timing".

Not sure if the manga did it exactly the same timing wise or not since I haven't read it.

That is kinda "speak of the devil"-ish!

Rating: "A". Yep, I agree! I have no idea where this is going, but I know I'll enjoy the ride!

Speaking of spectacular entrances, one of my fav sequences from season 2 was the moment when Mikasa saves Christa/Historia. That time when she's about to be killed by that surprise Titan hidden by the massive debris of the castle. Followed by the rest then flying overhead, which was a such a cool shot, and Eren finally getting his first Titan kill in human form, haha.
