Dark_Cloud_Overhead Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Survivor Spoiler The "strong" alliance ironically ended up being pretty weak. At least when David finds out he was right about Kyle and Kamilla he ought to feel a bit better. Only mistake he really made was in rubbing Joe the wrong way. I think that ended up being what doomed him. Eva and Joe are probably gonna have to rely on immunity wins and her idol and advantage to keep them in it now. They still have a path, but it looks a lot more fraught now that they're out of the numbers. 1 Quote
Dark_Cloud_Overhead Posted May 1 Posted May 1 Survivor Spoiler Gotta say I liked Star, but I really felt she was just kind of floating about and didn't have any strong connections with anyone in a season where that's been pretty much what it's all about. This week really surprised me though. I really thought the strong alliance may have doomed themselves last time, but they smartly made up for losing David and kicking Mary out from the group by trying to pull in Mitch and Kamilla a bit. That made Kyle feel more comfortable about sticking with them now, too. He's totally looking like the most pivotal person in the game at this point. 1 Quote
The_annoying_one Posted May 2 Posted May 2 About to start the final episode of You on Netflix. This entire final season has been a confusing, poorly acted mess. Quote
blueraven1979 Posted May 3 Posted May 3 Watched Survivor earlier in the week. Spoiler I'm glad the strong alliance isn't doomed. I really thought they made a mistake in voting out David but it seems to be working for them. As long as she plays smart with all her advantages, it looks like Eva has a good chance of making the final three. I'll be cheering for her and Joe until the end. I'm glad Mitch is sticking with the good people. I like Star but I wouldn't trust her either. Her rapping was fun this episode. Mitch is cool and I want him to last for a long time as well. 1 Quote
Dark_Cloud_Overhead Posted May 4 Posted May 4 Destination X Just sort of a preview half episode, but I've seen enough to know I'm definitely watching this when it starts later this month. Looks like kind of a cool mix of Big Brother and Amazing Race. Granted I've only ever watched like one season of each of those shows, but Jeffrey Dean Morgan as host... as a long time Walking Dead fan there's no way I'm missing that. Quote
Dark_Cloud_Overhead Posted May 5 Posted May 5 Star Wars Skeleton Crew 1 - 3 The Goonies vibe is strong with this one. Really though, even some of the music in this feels like it was straight lifted right out of Goonies to me, I swear. Not that I'm at all complaining. I mean, when you got a droid that talks like a pirate, how can you not love that?. Quote
Dark_Cloud_Overhead Posted May 8 Posted May 8 Survivor Spoiler Despite all that hemming and hawing no one ended up flipping. Kinda figured it wouldn't happen given how much they seemed to be suggesting it might. Always with the misdirect. Preview made it look like there's going to be some shenanigans next time though, with someone suggesting Shauhin flipped or is going to flip. Could be just another misdirect though, who knows? Anyway, if there's one thing I've learned from this season it would have to be from this episode, and that is that there is apparently such a thing as "coconut etiquette" and beware to anyone who doesn't follow it. blueraven1979 Posted May 9 Posted May 9 Survivor Spoiler It was a interesting episode. I wasn't really worried about Joe until he showed signs of paranoia. I'm glad they didn't vote for him. I think Mitch might be the next to go. If Joe wins immunity next time and they decide to target Eva, I hope she uses one of her advantages and doesn't go home with them. 1 Quote
blueraven1979 Posted yesterday at 03:22 AM Posted yesterday at 03:22 AM Watched Survivor. Spoiler I'm worried about Eva and Joe now. Kyle and Kamilla have been working together the entire game and it seems like Mitch is with them. So it's three versus two. Best case scenario is that Joe wins immunity again and that Eva uses her immunity idol so that Mitch is voted out. But I'm worried that won't happen and that either Joe or Eva goes home soon. Hopefully I'm wrong. Even though I like Mitch, I don't want Kyle, Kamilla, and Mitch as final three. 1 Quote
Dark_Cloud_Overhead Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Survivor Spoiler Kyle and Kamilla are setting themselves up as the favorites to win at this point, except that's only if we're going by what past juries in recent history have typically looked for in a winner. I'm not sure that's gonna be the case this time. Also, preview made it seem like Kamilla is gonna be contemplating turning on Kyle, which makes sense because their chances of winning are definitely much better if they're not sitting next to each other. If they both make final three with Joe or Eva, then that gives Joe or Eva a much better shot at coming out on top I think. I'd love to see both Joe and Eva make final three, but unless it's with Mitch (who I think is the only one left without much of a case for being the sole survivor) then their best shot is actually probably ironically not being together in the end. They've been all about loyalty though, so there's obviously no way they'll probably even consider turning against each other. Anyway, makes for all sorts of possibilities for how things could shake out and is really making this finale the one I've most been looking forward to seeing in quite some time. 1 Quote
