Bouvre Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 I had jury duty once. I got out of it because I was too poor to afford those days off.
bnmjy Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 Most people don't even get interviewed when they get summoned. Last year I was summoned and selected as a juror and had to sit through a full trial. :fap:
mochi Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 I had jury duty once. I got out of it because I was too poor to afford those days off. I got summoned once never ended up actually serving on the Jury never found out why
pail Posted July 7, 2017 Author Posted July 7, 2017 Give em the chair Bucket. > I haven't actually opened the summons yet so no idea what it's all about yet. I literally never thought I'd get summoned for some reason.
Ginguy Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 Typically they don't tell you what kind of case it is, it just says call this number the day before to see if you have to go in. If you do, you go to the pool room and they bring you into court rooms and the attorneys ask you questions. If they don't like your answer and have cause, you get dismissed from that trial. If they don't care, you end up on the jury.
Codename: Jackass Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 Last time I went was for a civil trial and they reached a pre-trial agreement minutes before we went into the courtroom. Didn't tell my work about getting out early and slept all day.
1pooh4u Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 Show them the posts you make. They'll never call you again. Me, they never choose me. I tell them I got an uncle serving life in prison and I can't find people guilty as a result of that. I go home right away.
pail Posted July 7, 2017 Author Posted July 7, 2017 Aren't you way too racist to serve as a juror No. I believe in the American justice system.
fuggnificent Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 No. I believe in the American justice system. So youre too racist to serve
NaBarney Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 No. I believe in the American justice system. You're a racist.
Azalar Hex Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 I got called to duty my jury about six or seven years ago. Got a sweet $11 a day. Sat through one trial, and before they decided on the verdict, they punted me off the jury with some BS excuse that they "always randomly pick one juror and remove them". They realized they had made a mistake bringing me in.
Chapinator_X Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 I got the letter for jury duty twice, but I was never picked within the lottery. I just sat in a large pool of people, and they didn't call my number so I was free to go.
