I think theres one within a half hour walk. No real desire to go there. Got an applebees about a 15 minute drive away, no desire for that either. Golden corral or chiles is about a half hour drive, and you couldnt pay me to stop in there. Theres an ihop just a bit further out, but they're practically abandoned so if you eat there you're going to be the only customer in the building.

Additionally "eat shit" can ive heard be a euphemism for crashing: "i was going down this really steep trail on my mountain bike when i hit a lose rock and totally ate shit."

Its a demand that the person literally consumes faeces and then expires. If it were "eat, shit, and die," an apt response would be something like "yep, another day another dollar. Well hang in there, its almost friday," as opposed to the "yeah well fuck you too buddy" that the comment generally draws as a reaction.
