Literally every single one of the pictures you're posting has one arm in profile while the other's viewed from the top so you wouldn't see the other bicep regardless. They're also all in the middle of backhand shots when the leading arm is always going to be bent and flexing more. Look at any normal full-body shot of Serena and both of her arms look the same. It'd be utterly absurd to just do strength training on one side of the body anyway. Try again.

I just think it's dumb when both men and women do it because it's totally unnecessarily. I played tennis myself for a few years (granted at a very low level) and never once did I feel the urge to grunt when hitting a groundstroke. You never heard Federer make a peep during a point. It feels like a cheap tactic to try and distract your opponent or mask the sound of the ball impact. But I'm completely with you about the Serena criticism. Either show solid proof or cut that shit out.

2024 Presidential Elections: the schadenfreude commences

Yep, and I can totally still fit into my skinny pants from middle school. -
I didn't even know this was a thing until hearing about the sentencing. Not that I ever watched much of the show.

Absolutely. It feels like it's doing its own thing for most of the run, and it has a solid cast of characters. If it wasn't a FLCL series it'd be great, but it winds up getting bogged down in the end by some dumb "plot" nonsense.

I tried to rewatch most of Progressive the other week to see if I'd maybe judged it wrong, but I had to give myself a break after two episodes because what the actual fuck.

Heh, my dad mentioned stumbling across Dexter's Lab while channel-surfing yesterday. Maybe this block might snag some of our parents too.

Never a fan of his music, but it was impressive how he managed to cultivate a fanbase and brand over decades.

There is no possible universe in which the score of a series on a random fan site would affect a broadcast contract. -

I didn't say that either. We've been in empty mode this whole year. -

I'd rather have an empty block than one full of isekai trash. -
China issues 'blanket ban' of Japanese products.

For some context, I saw this image posted in an article about the water release. Those are all storage tanks holding wastewater. Kind of mind-blowing. -
LEONARD BERNSTEIN! (that's how it goes right)

So many days home from school sick watching The Price is Right in the morning. Cheers.

I finally beat it this past week, and according to my Switch profile I was somewhere north of 220 hours. Maybe a bit of that was leaving the game paused, but still. I had pretty much everything I wanted to finish taken care of beforehand: all shrines, all lightroots, all main quests, pretty much every side quest I'd found, almost 500 Korok seeds, the gear I wanted fully 4-starred, you name it. The entire final sequence is the coolest thing I've ever seen in any Zelda game, full-on jaw-agape wonder. I may have shed a tear or two during the ending. What an absolutely stunning game. The crazy part is that after the fact, when it shows you the percentage completion for the map and quest numbers, I learned that there was one single solitary side quest that I haven't found yet. And I have absolutely no idea where it could be.

Because they have massive tanks full of millions and millions of gallons of treated water, and they're running out of room to add any more. The only radionuclide remaining in the water is tritium (which apparently is nigh-impossible to filter out at this point), and TEPCO has stated that the levels in the diluted water they're releasing are well below the international standards for safe levels. Granted, TEPCO hasn't always been the most forthcoming in every aspect of the disaster and cleanup, but for something as high-profile as this there are a lot of eyeballs monitoring the relevant levels. I get that radiation is a scary topic for a lot of people, but there's so much FUD that flies around whenever it comes up that you sometimes have to slice through the bullshit. And yeah, I don't doubt for a second that China was just looking for any excuse to screw over Japan's fishing industry, because China gonna China. -

I just want to get the damn franchise over with already, and I know it'll take me ages to do it on my own, so I want it on the block so that I'm forced to suffer through it. -

I genuinely love how they've seemingly leaned hard into a creepy circus vibe for Buggy. -

Again, you have literally no idea what other series Toonami has or hasn't pursued over the past few years. -

My guy, distributors chucked free shows at the block over 15 years ago. The current industry is absolutely nothing like what it was then. And I believe that they're constantly talking with people, but it's not as easy as just saying "Hey we want this/Okay sure." Shit happens.
