So sad, what has become of my favorite all-time player in any sport, any team... http://www.si.com/nhl/2017/01/24/stan-mikita

As they said in the 10th Anniversary book, she's offering you her cherry...see you in court.

If you believe that, then I would suggest you not find out about why lipstick was created.

Keanu Reeves (if half of what I've read about him is true) Burton Cummings (former lead singer of The Guess Who and like Alice, knows has lots of surprising connections & stories) Alice Cooper (the drink could be water, how could I not want to drink with someone who was a friend of John Lennon, Groucho, and Col. Sanders?) Dennis Miller (I'd have trouble keeping up) PJ O'Rourke Robert Downey Jr. (like Burton, he doesn't seem to take himself too seriously) Brett Butler (always seemed pretty smart, and now seems to have gotten her life together)

Well done. I'd have probably gone with the '70s balloon font in keeping with the theme, but yours reminds me of a Terry Gilliam insert in MPFC.

I did a frame by frame and she starts before it comes close to her face.

Most shelters have an abundance of black cats - a lot of people are afraid of them and others don't qualify because they intend to adopt them just to do them harm. The first one I adopted in Chicago, they wanted a couple references. I also go after the older ones, people want kittens or young cats. There were a few with "special needs", but having taken care of a couple that developed those needs, I needed a break from that & I can't be home 24/7. Giving a cat an IV twice a day or forcing pureed food down their throat with a syringe when you know you're only prolonging the inevitable is tough.

That's why I was asking. Large contracts can come back to bite you, but there are exceptions - look at Hossa, the players on the Hawks said he came into camp this season in better shape than the rest of them.

DON'T SAY THAT (even if it's true). Do you want legislation that requires kids to wear protective eyewear when playing with balloons?

Is there anyone out there to take Boston's coaching position? Or is it a GM issue? Seems like the same Coaches move from one team to another and nothing much changes for any of those teams.

Either totally planned for the camera or severe mental issues. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XF9gqWVkHg

Sprung from her long term incarceration at the shelter - 9 yr old "Daphne" - black feline with brown/gold eyes. I'm guessing a Bombay mix. She had been adopted and returned in really bad shape - loaded with fleas, having a bad tooth, ears filled with crud. Hid from everyone under her towel. When I brought her home, she wouldn't come out. Today, she was asleep on my lap. Still have 11 days before I can bring her into the rest of the house to meet Nicodemus.

Same. Haven't really pulled for Pitt since Bradshaw was QB. Won a lot of lunch money in those years, 'cause everybody was Dallas fans. >

Today's "One More Shift" by the Hawks was Roenick. He came out to ELO's 10538 overture. In the pregame interview, I think he was actually touched by the honor. He talked about how much it meant to him as a kid for Gordie Howe to single him out and dump snow on his head. He said that was why he'd skate over to some random kid and steal some popcorn or the kid's hat and briefly put it on before giving it back.

Yep...and it was great!

In 3rd grade, we were given some sort of music test. After the test the music teacher brought me (and only me) out into the hall and asked me if I played an instrument. I hadn't really, I had a kids toy drum set and got one lesson from my aunt's bf at the time, but they broke up. The teacher strongly suggested that I learn an instrument, but we moved shortly after that and my folks couldn't afford an instrument and lessons, so nothing ever came of it. I've attempted guitar and keyboards on my own, but I don't have the patience. I seem to remember being placed in an advanced reading class a few years later. Also, I was selected by some computer program to learn Spanish in 5th grade, the first year they had a foreign language in that school. That was the only year I made the honor roll. After that, all the moving caught up with me in 7th grade and they found out my math skills were horrible. We'd move from a school that was about to go into fractions or powers or bases to a town where they'd already covered that stuff. I didn't really figure it all out until I went back to college.

Hope your friend makes as full a recovery as possible. I still remember when they announced Rebecca Schaeffer was killed. There's too many Robert John Bardo types out there. Be safe.

Your mastery at XBox soccer doesn't count, zeni.

Something NFC "Norris" (Central) division opponents already knew.

Funny you didn't say that to Bouvre.

Of all time in the US, probably. Post Tate-LaBianca - John Belishi, John Lennon, and Princess Diana would be up there. Last year only, I'd have to go with Keith Emerson's suicide, people didn't see it coming at all while there were some people who knew Bowie was very ill.

How many of you were around for corporal punishment in school
tsar4 replied to André Toulon's topic in Free-For-All
I forgot until someone else mentioned it, in that farming community, your parents did have to sign off on corporal punishment. My folks said they did, but I doubt they did considering what my Dad went through in Catholic School. My folks also never employed it either. -
Turned it on w/7+ min left in the 3rd - saw the score and started laughing. I'm sure my GB rooting friends will say something about all the injuries GB has, which when I brought up all the injuries the Bears had when GB beat them, well those were unimportant to the outcome of the game.

Pretty sure I mentioned this on ASMB, but my Dad got the ruler treatment in Catholic School in Chicago (Ukrainian, no less - old world mid 1940's and still there). His older brother was a troublemaker, and Dad was new to the school. The assumption of the Nun was apparently he'd be like his brother. Someone else hit the Nun with a spitwad when her back was turned. She immediately went to my Dad's desk and asked him to put his hands on his desk. Not knowing why, he did as asked - wham (with a metal edged ruler)! He said he looked at his fingers and saw blood, balled up his fist and got her right in the gut, doubling her over. His Dad was called from work into the school office and told what had happened. He turned to my Dad and asked him, "Did you throw the spitwad?". Dad said, "No." Grandfather apparently then reached over and slapped my Dad across the face and asked him again, and Dad said, "NO!". My grandfather turned to the principal/headmaster/Father/whatever and said, "He did not do what he was accused of" and pulled my Dad out of the school. My Dad told me that this was the reason I never attended a parochial school, he wouldn't have it.
