All the people working from home & rugrats remoting to school had put a strain on my router wifi channel. I had to use a wifi analyzer app to find a decent, stable channel, only to have someone else jump on it & bog me down again. Finally found one nobody was using & wasn't dropping off.

Just a shot in the dark - I had a program that did not play well with Windows Aero. If you have Aero enabled, you might try temporarily disabling it & see if the program runs as expected.
