Why must you do this to yourself? I hope they split this year's into separate parts, because there's no way I'm listening to anything that's 4 hours. Except for this, because it's hilarious:

Why is this so? Is the art style too old / off-putting? Are people rejecting the pointiness / muscular nature of its aesthetic? Do people want shit that looks like SAO and AGK? I'm starting to believe it's more of a visual problem. Doesn't matter if there's cel dirt or not; if it looks too old or is too inspired by an older art style...is that a detraction? Could Gundam Unicorn suffer as well if this is the case?

Shit, I just remembered that 666 Satan post-script story I wanted to do (The Godless Endeavor) the somewhat retcons the series. I am so lazy...

There's a good amount of shit going on in fashion & the arts today that upon 2020, people will suddenly think "What the fuck are we doing?!" and pull a 90's by stripping down the excesses of the decade before.

I've done this too. It was part of a project for my Sequential Illustration class (or was it Cartooning? I forget). Anyways, I ended up writing the script to an entire one-shot manga just to draw like 6 pages.

Guy's an asshole who had people do his work for him and sued Funimation for no reason, yes. Doesn't stop that there's a good number of people (like myself) who prefer an electronic soundtrack once the science fiction elements in DBZ go into full effect. To me the kung-fu movie-like score feels weird at this point, but in return, it would have felt odd to watch the Martial Arts Tournaments and etc. without said traditional Kaiju / kung-fu movie track.
