It's a counter-attack! Female Hawtness Thread MK. IV NSFW

I don't know what turns me on more: The girls or the old school art style. -
For those who don't know what this means, it's that not only is John Williams scoring the entire film (when it he only partially scored The Force Awakens due to retirement), but Rian Johnson wants to edit the movie entirely around the emotional beats of the score. This has never been done before with a Star Wars film, nor is it a common practice as usually the music is scored after the film has a final edit reel. However, Williams has taken part in something similar to this before with the last 15 minutes of E.T. This is the approach Rian Johnson wants to do for the WHOLE. FUCKING. MOVIE. Johnson might not just be responsible for the best episode of television ever (Ozymandias)...but perhaps what may very well be the greatest Star Wars movie. I trust this guy. Don't fuck it up.

Adult Swim is accepting comics submissions
MasqueradeOverture replied to viperxmns's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
Ooooooooooooo...I should try this. I had a Tumblr account I used for art and stuff. Haven't used it in months though. Wonder how long the submission window is. -
That's film. Film is scannable to a theoretically infinite resolution. When it comes to things shot or drawn digitally, the resolution can only go as high as what it was originally shot or rendered in. Most anime between 2000 and 2006 (including FMA) were rendered in 480p. Any remaster done to it thus can only give the illusion of being HD by adding a ton of filters, de-aliasing, and upscaling. Sometimes this practice can work really well (FMA looks to be one of these cases). Other times it could look like total shit.

Upon viewing of tonight's episode, it seems my thoughts on this show are in fact bipolar. Visually speaking, I was watching this on a smaller 27" TV in my room (in comparison to the 47" in the basement I was using last week) and there's a MASSIVE difference in how I perceived the picture. Like...holy shit. I'll say it's because the proto-HD resolution holds up better when not blown up for a bigger size screen, but god damn this looked nice. Episode's much better than last (default since this episode's one of my favorites in SAC 1); more things going on, more action, an ending that finishes on a bitter note. Good shit. Just sucks how this show's first episode is such a flaccid bummer and there's many more like it in this series.

MasqueradeOverture replied to Zenigundam's topic in Free-For-All
Being this is gonna end like 1 Lunatic 1 Ice Pick anyways... -
So anyone want to place bets on how long Zeni's sentence is gonna be after tonight? I say 10 to 15 years (life if he does indeed use a machete as a dildo).

I've surprisingly dug the shit out of the current HxH ED since I first heard it...but damn. They kinda sound like Kamelot live. -
Goku, Bulma and Vegeta look incredible for their ages

Roughly four year time skip. So...20? -
So what ARE the differences between Goku and Luffy?
MasqueradeOverture replied to moose's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
This is a fucking retcon. They kissed right in front of Master Roshi before he went to pick up Gohan to train in the Time Chamber. -

In Gohan's and Videl's case, most people in their mid to late 20's don't look that much different than in their late teens. -

In Battle Of Gods, Bulma accidentally says she's 38. But that has to be a mistranslation (Mai says she's 31 in that movie, which is WAY off). In Goku's case: He's 12 during the 21st Martial Arts Tournament, three years pass between that and the 22nd which makes him 16 there, 19 at the end of Dragon Ball, 20 at Gohan's birth, and 24 at the beginning of the Saiyan Saga. Counting all the years he's been dead, he's 25 during Namek, 26 at Trunks, 29 at Androids / Cell, and 36 for Buu. Add the 3.5 year time-skip between the end of Z and the beginning of Super, that would indeed make Goku 39 and Bulma 43. -

Goku actually fucked... ...that's about it. -
We know it's already taking on aspects from every existing GITS story, so I'm not worried about that. I just hope this movie is well written, sticks to the themes GITS is supposed to convey, and the visuals to not totally suck.

So...a show about a potential rapist giving relationship advice while playing nu metal?
