There are instances where the original company threw out the film prints years ago and are stuck with a SD master (like Sailor Moon), or the original film IS available but hasn't been remastered in Japan yet and the American licensor sacrifices quality for profit (Dragon Ball Z). That's because Toriyama didn't write shit. He wrote the screenplay for the two movies and only gave Toei vague overall ideas for Super's storylines.

Interestingly enough, this is the first lineup they've had where I dig almost every show they have on (sans Shippuden). Unicorn's probably my favorite on the block, which from the look of things happens to be a minority opinion as Americans historically have never really latched on to Universal Century titles (common complaints that they're played too straight / political / etc.). It's been doing better in the ratings the past couple weeks though, so idk.
