  1. It’s probably some sort of tourist trap, like how IRL the place where they filmed the chainsaw scene in Scarface is a Johnny Rockets with a plaque noting where they filmed. You know Rockstar would have fun with that if Vercetti is still canon.
  2. Tom Petty, Bonnie and Clyde, Florida Man, but over a year to wait.
  3. Goblin Slayer S2 1-2.
  4. It looks to be a homage to the Red Shoulders of Armored Trooper VOTOMS fame.
  5. Only other animated series were Blue Eye Samurai and Summer Camp Island in Honorable Mentions.
  6. Godzilla Minus One - 9/10. One of the few monster movies where the human stuff is genuinely interesting but it only makes the kaiju stuff seem bigger and more important, instead of feeling like a distraction. See it on a big screen or with a 4DX.
  7. Looks good visually. Cautious optimism is in effect.
  8. https://www.tumblr.com/akirakan/733196857289932800/ive-been-meaning-to-do-a-post-of-this-for-a Sony didn’t want to pay for half-assed Originals, so the Originals were all canceled, including Alexander’s failtacular Onyx Equinox.
  9. This feels like an anime made specifically for people who got annoyed at the Harley Quinn show's Tumblr-level romance and LOLSORANDUM humor.

  10. Air fried chicken drumsticks with potato salad and a mixed green. Been eating healthier lately, toning down my alcohol intake, etc. No idea how long it will last.
  11. Cat’s Eye - A Stephen King anthology with a distinct lack of Maine. Surprisingly fun though, with the first two segments running on black comedy while the third is a bit more “tug on the heartstrings.” 8/10.
  12. It’s like they never left. Mostly because it’s the same kind of humor, the same actors, and the same sort of weird ass plots. Granted, Dana Snyder post Shake in the Ghost and Molly McGee is basically playing a Disney-approved Master Shake, so it’s not too hard to switch back.
  13. One believes in ghosts. The other believes in aliens. Can these two co-exist?
  14. Stuff like that is probably why Gracey won't film a movie unless Kishimoto signs off on the script. I'm hoping Yu Yu does well when it debuts with the Alice in Borderland/K-Drama crowd, because that's when the floodgates open and we get adaptations of stuff no one's tried to do stuff with for decades. That means a Martian Successor Nadiesco movie and crazy stuff like that.
  15. There were weekly talkbacks on the Toonami forums for the various sequels. People were...not kind.
  16. At its core, Cells at Work is edutainment. Very bloody edutainment, but edutainment all the same about how the body works and how diseases work. My guess is they looked at how cancer functioned as this uncontrollable mutation and reproduction of cells and saw it as more inherently tragic than a foreign virus. I still believe #FuckCancer, but I get why they went that route in the name of educating the audience about how it functions.
  17. Don’t worry too much, last I checked, the director, Michael Garcey, was adamant he would not direct anything without Kishimoto signing off on it. Sign-off allegedly saved the Mario movie (the second one) from being irredeemably terrible, so we’ll see.
  18. Dancing is once again forbidden…for five episodes anyway.
  19. You would never see a balloon for a character that beheads his enemies.
  20. The Luffy balloon’s hat got ripped, but since the hat and main body are separate, he’s still marching along. Fitting metaphor for the franchise in the US.
  21. I don’t believe that was the case for Blade Runner so much as this - I also remember the show having the extremely bad luck of premiering right after Arcane changed the game for 3DCG.
  22. Looks like the big twist backfired in a big way - https://www.whats-on-netflix.com/news/netflix-top-10-report-best-christmas-ever-the-crown-scott-pilgrim-takes-off-rustin/ It’s a flop.
