  1. I got that damn DoorDash code. Watch as I still lose.
  2. So far what I've seen is a classic "sum is lesser than the parts" situation. Production values are great, fights are good, story is the same revenge story you've seen a hundred goddamn times. This is going to come down to if the spectacle cam remain to keep up with the minimal substance.
  3. Duck fat mushroom risotto and air fryer duck. And French red wine.
  4. Salmon, garlic bread and salad.
  5. Why do you think Crunchyroll mothballed their Originals line the second it was feasible to do so? It feels so paint by the numbers because it feels like people just go “this is what anime is” rather than making a story and making it interpreted by this Japanese crew to adapt their own flair. Do you have something interesting to say or talk about? If not, then we’re only here because Crunchyroll still doesn’t want to play with you.
  6. Zaslav seems to have played hardball on the negotiations and when studios tried to counter offer he told them to go to hell.
  7. Delicious in Dungeon 6 Chained Soldier 4-5.
  8. Been playing Resident Evil 4 Remake. You know what’s both dated and endearing about the mid game? That the developers clearly watched Lord of the Rings before the castle segments and a boss that’s essentially a cave troll. But hey, I like Lord of the Rings. Frodo lives!
  9. Stone Ocean 4-6.
  10. As for his whining about JoJo, rumor is Netflix is going to announce a Steel Ball Run adaptation next month. So yeah.

  12. Another website that reported on AEW Collision’s performance.
  13. If it helps any, an episode of NCIS New Orleans before AEW Collision averaged 18,000 viewers total.
  14. I think what people seem to be noticing is just how generic the whole thing is. It feels like the sort of anime made by someone who has issues with anime focusing on teens and twenty-somethings, as well as the sort of anime that seems made by someone who finds certain anime tropes more obnoxious than endearing. Basically DeMarco. It's actually kind of funny to see that someone from Dorohedoro was involved in this, considering just how endearingly odd that show is vs. the rather generic setup here, not to mention Dorohedoro is clearly written by someone who likes girls that get physical vs. here where the only woman mentioned is the guy's dead wife. While we only have the previews and trailer to go off of, it feels that DeMarco has essentially made this "superior anime" that seems generic as hell, but generic in the way that someone who watched two minutes of Akira and Ninja Scroll would made a parody of anime in an issue of X-Men or something. Congratulations DeMarco, you're kind of making me wish you saved the money and dubbed Chained Soldier. At least Chained Soldier is kind of endearing in its goofiness (think Tenchi but without the baggage and with someone who simped for Esdeath).

  16. Stone Ocean 1-3.
  17. No, you can't hack your ghost into another shell (don't ask Elon about those monkeys), but it is February 2024, the month in SAC that the Laughing Man Incident occurred.
  18. Relatively. Now that it was a going concern, people probably flipped over. It can't really be undersold just how massive Demon Slayer was for Netflix given that globally its total seasons easily put it in the most watched programs on Netflix according to their own data. I think this is a simple case of "we can watch this elsewhere."
  19. Because everyone who wanted to watch Demon Slayer probably has on Netflix. Lycoris meanwhile isn’t available outside of Crunchyroll.
  20. Tacos with the guys over at a taqueria. Two pork, one chicken.
  21. Chained Soldier 3 100 Girlfriends 3-4.
