Jack is killing it but everything else is getting killed.

Essentially. That and making the show adult could have gone very badly, either being gratuitous or being a kids show with a curse or two censored. This straddles the line very well, being adult but still being Jack.

This show never ceases to amaze me in how blood and guts are added in but never coming off as excessive or unnecessary. It always adds to the story and characters. Also Ashi is gonna show up again soon I bet.

Ok, let's try this again. Last time on Samurai Jack - The show killed a lot of people. But Jack fell down a pit. We then took a break to look at a different future involving Rick Sanchez toppling a government in the span of a 22 minute episode and causing his daughter to divorce her husband, all in the name of Seczhuan chicken nugget sauce. Jack is unaware of this, still falling to his doom.

Airing Beware to begin with was also an issue.
