Chicken wings, radishes, and fries. I just got home after traveling all day and I was in no mood to cook.

Well, at least I ended my trip up at the roulette table. Somehow managed to win back all the money I spent on cabs, items, and souvenirs.

If I didn’t have a ton of paperwork for that apartment and a job to worry about, I’d totally stay in Aruba for another week. Do nothing but hang out on the beach, golf, and play poker. Unfortunately, duty calls. I have to head home tomorrow.

Newer shows will likely be licensed out. Older material?

DanDaDan S2 5. Even on vacation in Aruba I’m still watching this.

The weight numbers on the free arm machine in Aruba threw me off. It was listed in KG and not lbs, so I kept having to do the math. 140 kg bench press, or 308lbs. Granted I know dudes who can bench 405 or even 500 lbs, so I will forever have bench envy.

If buying foreign property wasn’t ten thousand degrees of being a pain in the ass, I would totally get that advertised place in Aruba with the infinity pool.

Saw it on a random weeknight. Enjoyed it quite a bit. Hasbro is kicking themselves in the teeth for not thinking of it first. This is how they should have modernized Jem and the Holograms if they wanted them in the same universe as Transformers and G.I. Joe.

Dan Dan Dan’s spent the last three weeks with its new episodes in the Netflix Top 10 despite not being a Netflix exclusive. I’m curious who’s gonna show up for Toonami. I mean, it’s a damn good show, but it’s apparently being watched by the same folks watching Happy Gilmore.

At least they have Keith David. Then again I’d see all of the Toonami originals incinerated if it meant Keith David coming back for that Spawn reboot eternally stuck in development hell.

A lot of the current era of adult animated comedies are writer based rather than animation based, and it shows. The Simpsons was a big example, arguably when it was at its peak with the writing team was when Matt Groening was laying down the law about how animation had to be on-model at all times to avoid undercutting the jokes being written. These days, with the majority of those comedies driven by comedians and writers, the animation is the last thing on their minds. Hell, if it was just limited to comedy outside of the big indie scene, it’d be one thing, but even action shows from the West are being accused of crap animation. This exchange occurred an hour ago at SDCC with the creator of Invincible: The animation is just not what they’re worried about.

I’ve heard repeatedly (but can never find a proper source) that executives make adult cartoons ugly on purpose in order to deter kids from watching them. Big Mouth’s creators specifically said they used the ugliest art style possible to talk about puberty and sexuality without coming off as pedophilic.

Did a replay of Cyberpunk 2077 so I could play the DLC. Also played a specific ending.

If the intention was to promote Superman, this marathon worked. Given that the film will hit HBO Max likely October, we might see MAWS S3 November-December.
