  1. I still say RE Zero on Toonami is wishful thinking at this point =P
  2. Not sure anyone except Jman mentions Netflix.
  3. Well we had a couple of good weeks. But now we're back to form. The only thing that really changes week to week seems to be Kai.
  4. Well you can make that argument against any non action anime that they could try on Toonami. But right now they're choking on low ratings in general. If any of them can do better in the Key Demos than BC's 72 percent then that's good enough.
  5. God damn why is Kai so inconsistent now? The entire night gets poisoned when Kai only hits around 80 percent. Black Clover..... why are you airing a critically reviled anime 3rd in your lineup again? 75 percent... and somehow even worse in the key demos. Jojo is back to it's usual form.. low 80's..... which is really bad when it's right after two shows that dropped over 40 percent of the audience. Under 500k viewers by Gundam time. Welp.... at least every show after Gundam will have amazing retention since there's no viewers left to lose.
  6. There really isn't a lot of good horror anime and if they try sports anime they are going to choke on some low ratings. I wouldn't mind Blood C just for the shock value. Slice of life stuff could work maybe, I'd love to see Toradora or The Pet girl of Sakurasou air on Toonami. Non typical Toonami stuff like Stein's Gate, Is this a Zombie, Amagi Brilliant Park, The World God Only Knows, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Haganai, or say... Konosuba would be nice.
  7. Yeah Funimation had a dispute with Olympusat which ran the channel. So it's currently TOKU, which airs garbage from Media Blasters and a bunch of awful live action stuff instead of Funimation shows. The rumor was that Funimation was going to launch another channel but they probably didn't see the need with how popular watching online is now. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toku_(TV_network)
  8. Yeah reminds me of the Funimation channel becoming replaced by TOKU and airing assloads of horrible live action crap. Very depressing. Made in Abyss would be an obvious yes, but I feel like it's one of those shows that Demarco is just unaware of despite being one of the top anime of the year. Why can't we have at least one fanservice show? For a block that struggles with ratings why are we taking the puritanical approach here? Is Demarco a Mormon? That guy fucking the body of Seras's dead mom while she watches from a closet in Hellsing is ok but we're too high class for boobage?? Please no on the sports anime. Ping ping the animation is great but you're not going to get ratings showing that. US audiences aren't into sports anime. Madoka is the obvious choice if they're getting magical girl stuff.
  9. So is it ok I got turned on when that one girl wanted to try a pistil to pistil connection or nah?
  10. Yes but keep in mind those are the ratings for the 6 episodes of FLCL we saw 18 years ago. Unless they really hit it out of the park with S2 it's not going to be quite as well loved.
  11. Poor guy, you have to sit through 50 more episodes of TOEI crap to get to the good stuff =(
  12. Wow you are wildly overestimating the popularity of FLCL. And I do mean wildly. Getting Re Zero would be much better for the block than FLCL. FLCL is more on par with Jojo. It's well known and respected in the anime community. It's also very niche and probably won't get the ratings you think it will. It's also worth mentioning that Re Zero is popular now, while FLCL was popular 18 years ago. If you wanna go by MAL Ranked #469 Popularity #117 for FLCL Ranked #140 Popularity #36 for Re Zero So yeah no contest there. Re Zero is way more popular and better critically received than FLCL, especially a FLCL sequel season that no one was asking for. I would consider getting the most popular anime of any particular year as the big get.
  13. Anime is always cruel to the fat kids. They never seem to get the girl.
  14. Fusion dance is a technique. Potara Earrings are like.. Magic or something. Buu is made from magic by a sorcerer. So the magics cancel each other out... maybe.. I guess... I don't know. Hmmm well when Dende recreated the Dballs he gave them the ability to grant 3 wishes instead of 1, but only 2 wishes if one wish is used to wish back a large amount of people... and I think he maybe removed the restriction that they can only bring back someone one time because they're definitely used for that in the Buu Saga. As usual trying to follow DBZ logic, rule changes and retcons is difficult.
  15. According to Mal there are literally more than 5000 anime better than Black Clover. That's a lot of anime. It would actually be more difficult to make something worse than BC than to make something better. Yeah my confidence is not high for this but I'm definitely going to watch it. The original was only 6 episodes and managed to catch lightning in a bottle and become successful despite not really having much in the way of a coherent plot. Expanding that to multiple full length seasons without the original team is... iffy.
  16. They seem to average one big "get" a year. They got Kill la Kill.. and OPM was and is still insanely popular. I'm hoping that their big get this year is Re Zero and not Kabaneri or worst case scenario TG S3.
  17. Franxx is still meh. More relationship drama, more mechs failing to work because of the drama. Possible gay/lesbian characters revealed. Killing Bites has been pretty awesome though.
  18. Namek balls can revive an infinite number of times =P
  19. I thought the previous post about Gun Gale alternative would make it obvious that I was kidding around =P I mean there's a good chance S3 SAO will be on Toonami at some point but obviously there's no plans yet when the anime doesn't come out for 6 months.
  20. Also coming soon to Toonami this Winter... http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2018/03/23-1/tv-anime-third-season-sword-art-online-alicization-announces-october-2018-premiere
  21. They brought in the big guns for the final arc. Naotoshi Shida who is a famous animator who did Battle of the Gods, DBZ, Fist of the North Star, Death Note and a bunch of other stuff and Yuya Takahashi. So yeah, it's better =P Yuya Takahashi is an animator who made his debut as an animation supervisor starting with episode 114 of Dragon Ball Super. His corrections ignore most of the Dragon Ball Super character design sheets and focuses more on Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT-style character designs. His corrections are very detailed and heavily distinguishable from most of other supervisors' corrections. Yuya Takashi was also a key animator for the first opening and episode 13 of Dragon Ball Super and was a key animator for Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods and Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of 'F'. Outside Dragon Ball series, he is famous of his works in Fairy Tail, Senki Zesshou Symphogear G#12, and Saint Seiya Omega.
  22. Yeah I was just messing around. It's more likely to be TG S3 or Kabaneri. I having trouble believing they could get Re Zero when they couldn't get MHA or Mob Psycho. Or, dark horse candidate. Steins gate Zero!
  23. Went viral? This vid has sub 200k views and the other one promoting S2 has under 800k. That's pretty low and not anywhere near viral.
  24. You all need to come to terms with what's really coming. http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2018/03/22-1/sword-art-online-alternative-clip-samples-tomori-kusunokis-ed
  25. LOL this is so wrong. She's doing 3 + 6 math problems, she's gotta be in like... first grade! You're going to hell.
