I'll only watch a sports anime if there's overwhelmingly good reviews for it. Otherwise it's generally not my thing. Toonami will pick up the one about sidecar racing, don't worry.

FFS no sports anime. They're not popular in the west. Ping Pong the animation is great and I'd love for people to see it, but come on... you're going to get the block canceled by being silly like this. Airing a sports anime is way more ridiculous than airing BC. The demand for shonen in the west is huge, so even mediocre/bad shonen can survive. Does Demarco really need to get Prince of Tennis'ed again to learn that lesson?

Yeah it's a damn shame, his voice was perfect for the character and really helped make the series what it is today. I mean, how many ecchi series get 4 seasons?

Is this a Zombie could be the confusing show. It's aired on Chillr and if Chillr was able to get it, anyone can get it. Johnson has been harping about moving Kai down forever now, so he probably doesn't realize it's over in 2 months and would make zero sense at this point to move it.

I'm going to say I'm 99 percent sure it's not pop team epic. It would be ratings suicide. Maybe a comedy? English dub of Konosuba out of nowhere? Demarco strikes me as somewhat delusional sometimes..... but is he delusional enough to think that people would be hyped for TG RE or Boruto? I really hope not.

Please no Pop Team Epic. I almost turned it off halfway through the first episode. It's basically a collection of jokes with no punchlines. Right in the Pocket.... is this an actual saying? What does it mean? A google search comes up with no exact match. Seems like a pool reference that isn't really a saying. I'm going to assume he meant it like... expected Toonami fare. So like.. Boruto or Gundam Thunderbolt or something. The show people will be psyched for.... Re Zero, OPM2 Mob Psycho, Tanya the Evil, Gate, Overlord... maybe Kabaneri. Can't think of anything off the top of my head other than these that people would be hyped up about. SAO 3? =P What would confuse people.... Madoka? Food Wars? Assassination Classroom? No idea here really. Well I'm just going to hope Demarco doesn't fuck this up again. After getting BC he's shown that absolutely everything is on the table.

Samurai Jack style hits are going to be few and far between. Original content becoming a hit would be great for Toonami but I don't think they have the talent to do that on a consistent basis. We'll see how the FLCL sequels go=P

Someone tell me why BC is so bad in the 18 to 34 demo. Is it actually doing better with older viewers?

Ok so DXD Hero came out today and ...... apparently they retconned the last episode from last season and did kind of a "redo." So from what I've heard, the studio that did the first 3 seasons screwed up the final episode so badly that the author got pissed off and basically refused to work with the studio anymore. My question is... can anyone think of an anime that got switched to a different studio that uses a drastically different art style before? I'm not sure I've seen anything like this ever. And fun fact, the English VA of the MC Issei was replaced during S3 due to the fact that he was arrested and sentenced to 3 years in prison for possessing child porn.

I mean the plot and writing are still typical standard DBZ fare.... but it does all the stuff right that made people love DBZ in the first place. It's just too bad we had to wait 100 episodes for it. The special 1 hour airing of episode 109-110 really marks the turning point for the series.

Plus it's Studio White Fox, they did Jormugand, Re Zero and Stein's Gate. Everything they do looks amazing. Looking forward to their upcoming Goblin Slayer adaption. A lot of people hate on Akame but I think they did the best they could given that the source material was not only unfinished but unshowable on TV. Can you show testicles being crushed and mass rape and little girls being raped by rapid dogs on TV? Probably not.

I thought the fight scenes in Akame alone made it worthwhile. The fight against Esdeath at the end was definitely one of the top fights of the year =P SAO is still a good gateway anime for getting people into anime, like it or not.

At some point you're just going to have to accept that when bad anime airs on Toonami... it's going to get torn up. This isn't a fan site for BC nor a fan page for the anime. It would be different if this was a fan page/site and people were coming here to do Zenigundam style trolling and saying "ha ha you like shitty anime this is bad and you should all feel bad!"
