Sawfish is more a ray than a shark.
  2. Look at it this way: You ever see any zombies with glasses? Clearly there is a correlation there. Glasses prevent zombification.
  3. You know it's bad when the furries weren't R34ing the shit of out it immediately.
  4. Seems to have started around 5 pm, PDT yesterday, although I didn't get hit with it until several hours later. The update seems to have been rolled out around 9 am, PDT this morning. So, depending on your usage (and settings), might not have noticed anything.
  5. Mm, still waiting for mine to catch up, methinks. Or possibly probably need to update Firefox. EDIT: evidently needed to change preferences on allowing firefox to run studies. But it did also occur to me that it wouldn't matter in this situation. Finally remembered that I'm pretty sure I went in to do some hosts file editing to prevent the computer from loading certain ads entirely. Also edit: finally starting to see the ads here. But, ironically, none in this thread.
  6. Weird. Firefox finally dumped all my add ons, and I still don't see any ads here. Wonder if maybe it's anything to do with not updating Firefox often. Hopefully they're scrambling to fix it fast.
  7. I mean, thus far, nobody of any real significance has been wiped from existence yet, I don't think, so it was simple enough to not really contemplate the consequences here. Plus, the idea that the dragon has the power to restore things that no longer exist seemed like a bit of a stretch. Suppose it's not really so different from making a comfortable pair of undies out of nothing. But still, re-creating entire universes (plural), conceivable that that could be beyond power/capabilities of the dragon. But as soon as I had the thought of how it would all play out, it was just like "Fuck, that sounds exactly like what they would do with all of this. Make it all entirely irrelevant."
  8. Crazy prediction that I hope isn't actually a spoiler, cuz I haven't seen anything beyond Toonami, and I don't really care enough for any of you to try to tell me one way or another: Had a sudden vision of how this entire arc is going to end. Naturally Goku's team wins. With the winning wish from the Super Divine OMGAmazing dragon, Goku decides to wish all the other universes back into existence. There's a brief moment of "OMG, how could you go against the Grand Zenis or w/e" before he's like "Lol, no, it's fine, this is great, now we'll get to have the tournament again someday, and it'll be even awesomer.(and also now the writers can keep using all these characters they've already come up with for future filler and shit)" And in the end, everything is back to exactly how it was at the start(coincidentally not unlike a filler arc), while all the other universes have to grudgingly accept that the dangus that got them into this mess actually somehow managed to get them out of it.
  9. Why is this thread in Toonami if it's not about Toonami? Chill out and pay attention. KN's just toying with some extra revenue options. And they're already keenly aware of how invasive it got.
  10. It's not the worst shounen. Surprisingly not quite as cliched or predictable as you might expect. Sure, there's plenty of less enjoyable material, too much yelling, too many tsunderes. But I'd say it's not quite as bad as first impressions might suggest. Nothing incredible. But, it's something.
  11. I guess he could hurl himself into a red sun. But that does seem awfully dramatic.
  12. Orcas are in the same family as dolphins. One that has evidently evolved for maximum douchery.
  13. Idunno about actual ratings, but this feels so much nicer shoved to the ass end. Always felt like it ruined a lot of good momentum early in the night. (and, tbh, has done a pretty terrible job so far of showing itself being worth having on the block, as far as quality content goes)
  14. My family name was changed or poorly interpreted/transcribed upon immigration, so now it doesn't really have any meaning.
  15. Y'know, I realized something the other day, and it's really starting to bug me. UA seems like a pretty big school. Big enough to be teaching hundreds of students, at least. And, yeah, we saw some few of the other classes back at the sports festival. But, weren't they pretty much mostly all first years? Where are the upperclassmen? Considering what this batch of freshies have been going through, seems like it might be prudent on the school's part to have some second+ years assigned to the classes. A role similar to the patrols we've recently seen, but maybe with a little more independence. Some students that have already survived the hero track for a while, trusted with a little extra responsibility. The teachers and real heroes will still be around, but there's only so many, and you can't really go taking too many real heroes away from their actual work. This field trip seems like it could've been the perfect opportunity to get some crew closer to graduation some hands on experience. Even without any villains attacking, being around to keep an eye on things would still put them in a position similar to what the teachers are already doing. And if you already know some exercises will be splitting the groups up, would be smart to have some trusted extras around just in case.
  16. Hah. Maybe that's why they were toying around with Adventure Time a while back. Can't say I'm sad to see it go (Bob's Burgers, tho...), but, also can't really deny that it's held up the block/network for most of its life. Either this will be the time [as] learns what they're capable of without depending on the crutch, or they find out they've been propping up a corpse for years.
  17. Y'know, the more this excuse rattles around in my head, the more it kinda pisses me off. For one thing, the context of target audience. Maybe I'm mistaken, but shows (and I guess also the manga too or whatever) like this seem aimed at teens, maaayyybe young adults? Maybe if doucherton here feels so beholden to write rape scenes, he should probably consider writing content that's actually aimed at mature audiences. Doesn't really need to be a part of your teen boy mary sue power fantasy. Idk. I mean, maybe somewhat forgivable if the stories he was reading were also targeted at a middle school audience, but, hard to say, not being familiar with the works and how those may have been written in comparison. (and, admittedly, ben did sorta cover this point as well) Which isn't to say these audiences can't handle the subject. It can be done well, open up a dialogue, etc. But I don't think I'd consider what this guy writes to be "done well." Bringing me to the second point that pisses me off. If you've just absolutely gotta write this shit into everything you do, do some fuckin research. Stop using it as a simple plot device to allow the hero to play the hero. Fuckwad here seems to be thinking "Rape is a villainous act, therefore, every one of my villains must be a rapist." And I seriously can't imagine the dude giving any thought or consideration what so ever to the psychological elements at play here, especially with the victims. Just an easy "Oh, you saved me! My hero! Everything will always be alright as long as you're around." Insert "I'm so in love with him" inner monologue. Meh. Mostly just thinking fuck that guy, for seeming to have no respect for the complexities of the subject, including any social or cultural influences, and just uses rape as a tool to demonstrate "this guy is a bad guy" cuz he seems to have nothing better to fall back on.
  18. Log in screens really need to start listing what the password requirements were, just so I can remember how convoluted I had to get to come up with something I could remember that satisfied everything. Having to write them down or otherwise save them just feels like defeating the purpose.
  19. Idk. From what I've seen of Golden Wind, it's a damn sight better, what with actually having a plot and direction. Diamond just feels like "We're making this to keep the franchise going, but we really don't know what to do with it right now."
  20. Meh. Pretty standard SAO. Maybe the show will get pushed back to try and get a little less attention for a while.
  21. My thing lately has been buying a box of Cocoa Krispies and their new strawberry Krispies and mixing them together.
  22. I only ever played the second, and, yeah. And it's one of those games that just goes on for waaay longer than you expect. The beginning levels were nice and chill, relaxing music, but that's all I ever really saw of it when I was younger. Played later on an emulator with the benefit of save states, and damn, does it get pretty trippy. I don't really think it's a bad game, though. Fits the bill for a cult classic.
  23. Weirdest idea for a game. Dolphin fights aliens to save the world. And travel through time in the sequel. Hard as balls. Sweet music, tho.
  24. They're not for attracting women.
