  1. Damn, tsar. Just cuz a bird is black you automatically think maybe he's Mike Tyson? Does every black man/animal look the same to you? jk, I get what you're going for. Bit of a stretch, tho.
  2. I still think the writing coulda done something possibly truly impressive if they just kept Eren dead back in S1. I mean, it's done ok for itself, I guess. But, something other than "super powered teenager single handedly saving humanity" would've been nice. A little more futility, some actual overcoming of odds, rather than resorting to magic.
  3. Starting to feel like this convoluted story is trying to give Kingdom Hearts a run for its money. I'm so glad I never got seriously invested in this. What a mess.
  4. Why do you keep saying "several months"? What are your sources saying that the show will be down for that long? Cuz, if it's already started airing, it's very probably already all made and ready to go, they're just putting in a delay on airing the next episode to not seem completely inconsiderate. After a week or two, it'll be back to running. There are, presumably, still contracts in play, people still need to make money, etc. They're not completely shelving this.
  5. So, as someone not interested or invested enough in this to bother reading or listening or really following any of this... Have they gotten to the point yet where they've made an effort to prove Vic is not actually literal feces?
  6. Disagree.
  7. New game: Every time someone mentions "anti-magic," from now on, I'm going to mentally replace it with "hentai-magic."
  8. Almost a shame that Sorbo turned out to be such a terrible person.
  9. I haven't caught up with new tech, so, I still buy things on dvd. >_>
  10. Tennant's also already done Duck Tales, so it's not like voice acting is a new thing for him.
  11. I haven't sought this out, but, RT isn't such a terrible thing. I'm a little soured on their choice to not air stuff like RWBY on youtube anymore (look, I bought the soundtracks and DVDs, why piss off fans that are giving you way more money than some piddly ad revenue?). And, truthfully, I'm not a huge follower or anything, but it still seems like the company has made some great strides. And, even though Monty Oum is gone, I'll hope that some of his protegees (or at least anyone that's gotten the experience in his animation style) has worked on this. Because, by the fucking gods, that man could choreograph and animate a fight scene like no other. Series he was involved in may have taken a slight hit, but I think/hope the animation team has worked hard to make him proud.
  12. Depends. Wouldn't surprise me if every episode gets little cuts here and there to trim down the run time Idk, haven't watched it to really know what they could edit. Isn't it pretty normal (or maybe was, years ago) for a lot of anime to get a similar treatment, since JP show slots are just longer than ours or something?
  13. That seems typical of RT. Making a web-based series that doesn't need to conform to tv standards, they can get away with it. Kinda weird (and I guess a little impressed) that they've pulled off a push to actually get on a network. Still salty about them moving their shows off youtube, tho.
  14. Ok, so, something to consider, which was never taken into consideration. Weren't the super mega giga dragon balls from the 6th and 7th universes? If one (or both) of them were to be removed, shouldn't the dragon balls also be eliminated?
  15. Thermostat outside my room read 91 a few weeks back here. Thankfully that heat wave only lasted a couple days. I've only got one dinky little fan. Mostly survived with the help of a good ice pack. When it's that bad, I'm not even sure how well those evaporative/swamp coolers would help, or if they'd just add to the humidity and make things more miserable.
  16. Idk, man. Every new movie that comes out means new toys to sell, new clothes, slap that shit on anything and everything. It's like printing money. As long as they can churn out something halfway tolerable, enough to keep the kids invested, they'll keep making profits.
  17. May as well just accept it. Eventually, they'll swap out the OG toys for something else. But this franchise will never die. No one in their right mind would let it die. It's a franchise about literal toys. The merchandise practically makes itself.
  18. Just keep living to spite yourself. Spite is as valid a motivation as any other.
  19. If you're on PS1, obviosly W-Item. Sure, it's a materia, not an item. But, item duping. Max stacks of any Source. Cap those stats. As if it even matters. I've never been much of an item user.
  20. Quest 64 had an ok story... sort of... it's maybe not a great game by many measures. But still one I remember fondly, through the lens of nostalgia. I think Bomberman 64 is the better of the two bomber-choices. Hero's ok, but I think 64 stayed true to the game's style.
  21. Ok, so, maybe I haven't been paying attention and missed something, or, idk, still a big reveal coming or whatever. But. Why is it UA only has first-years taking this exam? All the upper-classmen already pass? Are there any uppers at all? Lotta students here, from all over, and everywhere else seems to be sending everyone that ought to be qualified to pass. But over here in super big bad danger town, it's just the freshies. This idea has been bugging me for weeks now. Because dammit, somewhere, in the midst of all the shit that's happened to this class, there ought to be someone between freshmen students and pros/teachers to make sure, y'know, more bad shit doesn't keep happening to the youngest class least prepared to deal with it. Pros-in-training (literally, licensed and just getting some hours in or however it works), seniors, volunteers, chaperones, anything that can stand between these kids getting caught up in more major league villain shit. I mean, sure, yeah, that'd basically make for an entirely different story, if everyone hadn't already been thrown to the deep end. Nevertheless, it's kinda ruining my immersion to consider how little the faculty have actually done to keep any of it from happening again.
  22. So basically what I see from this thread is the update changed how something looks/works, and you're here to complain that things didn't stay exactly as they were. After an update. Typical.
  23. As long as you can get your employer to say it'd be a hardship to not have you for that time, usually works. Bonus if you're self employed. Personally, stayed mostly asleep in the assembly room for the two days I was stuck with. Get out early unless you're stuck in a trial. Easy days.
  24. Probably the same reason Kaede spoke the way she did back in ye olde Japan in Inuyasha.
