Also, still wondering where these upperclassmen were when the freshies were in, like, constant danger being targeted by the villains. Presumably there's more than just the three of them. Since it seems like they're very-nearly-hero status, having a couple around keeping an eye on the kids doesn't sound too unreasonable.

So, at what age are you allowed to buy your first boobs? Do they come as seeds that you have to grow yourself, to the size you want? Can you replant them if you want them to grow a little more?

Admittedly, the hand-to-hand stuff always really gets me going. Weapons are cool, but there's just something special about the way he could animate a fist fight (and hopefully something passed on to the team). Ooooolllddd example of his work, sorta related:- 124 replies

Fight scene was pretty decent, but still feels like it's missing a certain flair I've come to expect from RWBY. It might just be that it's trying to stick a little closer to realism, assuming it's not because the animation team just can't quite reach Monty's level.- 124 replies

gen:lock Gen:LOCK Episode 1 kinda abridged discussion
rpgamer replied to OwlChemist81's topic in Episode Discussion Archive
Honestly, reserving judgement on the fight choreography/animation. What we saw was ok, to be sure, but I don't think they've really gotten the proper opportunity to show off yet.- 114 replies

I kinda liked how it had a sorta similar vibe to Origins already on the block. Start off with established primitive mechs, clunky, lacking mobility/dexterity, and introduce the new hotness in the big mobile suits.- 114 replies

Genuinely don't understand this complaint constantly cropping up. You all do realize how often anime animates nothing but a mouth, right? Literally Fire Force right now, you can probably count the number of fully animated movements on one hand.- 114 replies

Mm, think the show coulda used more time developing the setting/characters before jumping right into this. This right here should've been the end of the episode, spend the first half setting up and building up.- 114 replies

No worse than any other old CG show. Plus, it's RT. As long as the fights look good, I'm in.- 114 replies

Hey, so i can't keep my left eye open in sunlight, is that weird?
rpgamer replied to SwimModSponges's topic in Free-For-All
On particularly bright days, often early morning or evening, on the drive to/from work, I'll fantasize about having some gauze or something to wrap over my eyes, as the sunglasses alone just don't cut it. -
Huh. Can't hurt to apply for aid or forgiveness or whatever. I've got insurance, but after getting back a $6000 bill (was 12k before insurance) for a stupid emergency room turned hospital stay which shouldn't have been more than a simple out-patient, I just filled out their forms which basically amounted to "yo, you ain't ever getting this money, I will never have enough to pay you any of it." Kinda how I treat my student loans, too.

Meh. A bit of plot convenience that he was swallowed whole or whatever. How lucky, to get eaten by the one titan that doesn't chew its food. Additional point that bugs me is, well, the entire plot of the show. I might be misinterpreting something here, cuz, things got needlessly complicated at this point, but as far as I could understand events seem to be something like: The mainland has managed to gain control of and indoctrinate some of these people with the shifter powers. Colossal, Armored, Beast, and whatever the lady from S1 was, Annie? Idk. Whatever. Seems like we're meant to conclude that they've been sent from the mainland to infiltrate and undermine the city, bring down the defenses, and let the waves of mindless titans flush everyone out so the mainland can start drilling or w/e. Cue ep 1. My question is: Why? Why go to all that trouble to complicate shit? First of all, mainland has actual fucking airships. Set up a base on the edge of the island or something, load those suckers up, and start bombing the shit out of everyone. What are they gonna do about it? But, more importantly, ignoring that, they've already got spies infiltrating the city, how hard is it to gather intel and discover the leader wiped everyone's memory years ago, doesn't want to fight, and basically nobody knows the actual situation anymore. Seems like the mainland is going to all this trouble because they still believe that if they just attacked outright, the island would retaliate in all their titan-y fury. But, unless there's some other layer to this, kinda seems like that no longer holds true, and the mainland could just roll an army through and be done with it. Kinda not sure why they couldn't have done that regardless at this point. Surely they've got the superior technological advantage. An army of titans vs a battery of mortars, dropping bombs, firearms, navy, etc. -

Y'know, just thought of something, possibly a major plot hole. Shifter power is transferred by having someone transformed into a mindless titan and eating the person carrying the shifter power. Soooo, why didn't that happen when Eren got eaten way back in S1? Was there some sort of time limit established or something? Seems like, following show logic, the attack titan's power should've transferred to whoever was in that titan that ate him. I knew the damned kid should've stayed dead from the start. -
Ah, right. I knew it was a Vampire, but for some reason thought it was Vampire Octopus, not Vampire Squid. But you're right. It just sorta spits in the face of typical classification, as bizarre as it is.

That's an octopus, and I'm a pedant.

There was a typo during the scene introducing all the characters, MC listed as "Shira." Kinda really threw me off for the rest of the episode, trying to figure out if I'm hearing it wrong or what.
