  1. Oh, and the block is losing another hour next month. It's a good thing we had a replacement for Mob announced before this bit broke.
  2. Thankfully, I'm two years removed from being able to get mad at this.
  3. Is it any worse than the time we all argued about Star Wars?
  4. Toonami establishing a presence on VRV would be a good long-term goal to achieve, and I'd be completely in favor of it. There's a good number of shows they can be the exclusive streaming for, as well as even all the TOM-centric goodies like speeches and game reviews the block has done over the years.
  5. And suddenly, it's day again. I never really cared about the marathon stream and I didn't know why anyone would rely on it to watch shows, but I guess I'm... forced to be sad that it's over? Sounds good.
  6. Futaba's Family Twins 1 to 5 [let's dig another one]
  7. I decided to not bother with making threads until I can get caught up on any Toonami shows. Congratulations on your accomplishment.
  8. My local AMC theatre actually has screenings of this, so I'll have to go over there and buy a ticket. It's the first time I've heard of them showing an anime movie.
  9. Did you miss the thread about the S2 simuldub? Also, I was being facetious about Fairy Tail, but I think the chances of it airing are slightly higher than people think. With Toonami getting close to losing several long-running shonen, they might grab whatever else is available with hundreds up episodes to fill a gap.
  10. Mob Psycho will move on to S2, but Megalobox will be replaced by nothing and the block will shrink. We get nothing new for the next three months to half a year until Toonami unexpectedly acquires SAO: Gun Gale Alternative as an apology for that one time. Oh, and Fairy Tail (from the first episode) replaces GGO.
  11. Grave of the Fireflies
  12. Wow, that's a solid gain for Mob Psycho. I hope they can take advantage of this by airing the second season right away. In other words, this new schedule is definitely working.
  13. Oops. Somebody really neglected this show... but their loss isn't as bad as mine, as I need to watch past the second episode already.
  14. I might tune in just for the sakuga episode when it airs in a few months. Expect competition for that thread in particular.
  15. Cool stuff. I ended up zoning out on the trending game after the guy who makes those posts for Toonami Faithful blocked me for joking about SAO, so it's nice to see that old habits don't die hard. I could complain about this being useless fluff, but really, making content ratings images for various shows is an even more pointless hobby. Also, this makes more sense than still tracking the Nielsen ratings.
  16. LOL. The true power move is for Toonami to actually air Shield Hero, because the controversy will obviously make it do well.
  17. With OP still shitting out money (in Japan) like no one's business, I'd be more surprised if the higher-ups aren't pressing him to keep it going. It's only a negative if you want Oda to ever work on something else.
  18. He must be tickled pink since it's not easy being green... or staying that way. Alas, it's really looking like they should've gone back to Black Clover being the DB lead-out, regardless of anything regarding Boruto.
  19. To his defense, I think Nick's Shield Hero preview had some nuance. He goes on for a bit about how it's a boring RPG-like isekai we've seen a hundred times before, and the tertiary characters don't exist except for being objects to help the MC get back at everyone for betraying him. It's just that everyone in the cursed ANN thread decided to pounce on him for the other half; some of them (definitely not you) may be raging misogynists of any right-of-center political flavor that I don't agree with, but I support their point that it's not good to jump to conclusions like this. Anyone who watches this show due to the false-rape accusation part of the plot or for anything about the author's politics just to "own the libs" is making a mockery of themself. That shit ain't rational, even if the show could ultimately at least be decent. You're better off celebrating the good stuff that's airing this year.
  20. I was just wondering when Poke was going to do images again. As luck would have it... The Ancient Magus' Bride #15 Zombie Land Saga #6 Mr. Osomatsu S2 #1
  21. Ah, come on. Why was I careless like that. I'll bump the chances up to 60/40 now.
  22. You mean Countdown? Assuming "Fall 2019" means November like with previous TIEs, The Forge will arrive about two years after Countdown. In that case, a new TOM is a perfectly reasonable expectation to have.
  23. We don't know if they're getting S2 immediately. I think there's about a 50/50 chance it happens, and that's being a little generous. CR may not have gotten a good handle on producing dubs yet, but it's been long enough since the first season ended that it's reasonable they've already started assembling the dub cast for more recording sessions.
  24. Here's a hot take: I don't think Toonami was wrong to push for Boruto when they did. Putting personal reasons for hating it aside, they mismanaged the block so we don't know what its true ratings potential is, and that's hurt it more than any of its actual content. Now that we have a more traditional Toonami block debuting this weekend, we'll see what happens
  25. Eh... this isn't a good look for ANN in particular, but I also question how a film with the backing of a cult was licensed over here to begin with. Eleven Arts should take some blame on that end.
