That still doesn't explain why they didn't put it on the 'Blu back in... say, 2015. If it was mostly dubbed by then, why not do so? Unless there was a particular stipulation in the contract...

Shuddup. I'm sure there will be some normies who pick up the show because they find it to be mildly interesting. I've thought about giving it a pity purchase, but it would probably be better to watch the show for free on-demand before deciding on whether to make a purchase. Also, I neglected to mention the DBZKFC set. It is pretty interesting how Funi is ramming through it so quickly, and it makes you wonder why the hell they had to wait so long to get it out to begin with.

But of course. I only left that one out because Film Gold hasn't aired on Toonami yet, and there's only a small chance it might ever will. -_'

If you've got any money in your pockets, listen up: For the month of May, if you're not already hedging it to buy Funimation's release of Shonen Maid (like I might), you can spend it on the show with the lovely robot girl. The release of Dimension W can be attained via a Blu-ray/DVD combo pack, or the Limited Edition, which includes... art cards. And some bonus artwork from the Japanese BDs. That's it. But regardless of release, you can finally watch that long-awaited OVA... which is apparently about bathhouses. Like I expected. And yet you wonder why Toonami never once thought about airing it. LOL... expect Owlchemist to go on a tangent about how they should play Episode 13 after JoJo's ends or some shit to promote the release. On Viz's side, their release of One-Punch Man comes out close to the end of April. You can get either a DVD, Blu-ray (with six OVAs from I assume the Japanese manga releases), or an LE combo-pack which includes some art cards and a booklet. What fun! And the word on the street is that Sentai has something planned for a past Toonami show some of us have adored... whenever it comes, I'm sure we'll be able to negotiate a good price for it.

Ah, okay. I've never thought about doing it via a physical log, mostly because if someone were to find it, it could give them... strange ideas. But at least ones not as strange as they're used to. I said earlier that the floor for most [as] shows is probably a lot lower than everyone's tastes want it to be. Jman clearly doesn't understand that. I have not heard at all that One Piece was in danger of being canceled, but more like DeMarco decided to go waxing lyrical about it to the network's high brass. Quite frankly, I feel like we shouldn't have a ratings thread anymore...

You could stay that Toonami is being stubborn when it comes to canning shows people don't like... but those are probably vocal minorities who won't listen to anyone. And considering how low the floor for [adult swim] as a whole seems to be, I doubt any of these shows are failing at all. Especially One Piece.

Have you actually watched Birdy? If so, you've probably made your own .txt full of ratings concerning it. It'd be cool for us to compare them. 8) Also, that To Love-Ru screenshot (TV-14S, Raimu's favorite!) is pretty good. I'm not sure if I prefer the unnecessarily shaded subtitles or the girl's straw lining up perfectly with their soft drink. And not to mention, it looks like the mid-2000's generic anime style in a bunch of ways, but they probably just add to the show's charm.

Interesting. I remember hearing how Bandai dropped their license for that one at around the same time as Nichijou. This is probably another part of that package deal.

At some point, you'll probably have watched so many episodes of a shonen that you'll feel fatigued by it. That's me with One Piece right now. It's aired close to 150 episodes since I started watching the meat of Toonami. I know it's apparently good right now, but I just can't be assed enough to watch it because it just feels like a slog, especially with the slow pace of the latter half of Thriller Bark.

I thought we used the mnemonic known as "killing" when something was doing well? :brownbottle: ShowBuzzDaily got the rest of the numbers in (unless you care about the 8:30 SamJack rerun), and they're nothing special. Most everything was the either the same or down slightly, but Ghost in the Shell (at 530K vs 501 last week) had a slight upward tick.

I was looking to reinstall the app on my phone yesterday after getting some free space, and I couldn't even find it through the search. I had to go back into my personal list of apps and redownload it there. That ain't a good sign.

It's about that time again. But I guess we didn't think it's important enough to get a thread by 3:00 p.m. eastern. Tell your friends, because they're the most likely to get suckered in to this crap. And the third episode is on right now, so it's probably going to be 1-5 for the whole week.

The MaiDragon incident is probably more incompetency than anything. If enough people care, they'll fix it for the home media release.
