I don’t know. As an AFE, you don’t get to see who your package goes to. The SLAM (Shipping Label Application Machine) labels it before it goes to the dock and gets loaded. When we get an order, we only see the assigned order number, box size, and items in the order. Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if I filled my own order before. I highly doubt it, but it’s possible. I HAVE put my own order on a truck before when I was at the dock.

Yes, and no. Depends on where you work. Stow, Pick, and Pack (three different sections) all have their own goals. No real quotas, per se (save holiday totals for the section). BUT, there are rates we have to keep at (meaning certain number of functions per hour), which is a little more annoying. Rate is more important. Rate is kind of our quota.

What is this? An Amazon Fulfillment Employee (AFE) is one of the people who gets your order from Amazon and puts it together for shipping. Basically, once you click “Confirm Purchase” and get done paying for it, it goes to someone like myself. I pack a LOT of things in boxes, envelopes, and wings (book envelopes) everyday. I’m doing this because: I’m bored I’m more than happy to share this I’m finding another job I have no problem poking some fun at Amazon’s customers’ expense Fuck Amazon’s management Anyways, ask me stuff.
